Steven Charles Putt

Steve C. Putt (affectionately known as "Putter"), a vibrant and charismatic presence, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2025, at the age of 72 in Bloomington. While we mourn his sudden departure, we are profoundly grateful for the life he lived-a life marked by boundless energy, adventure, and an open heart. Putter was the quintessential sportsman, tackling life with the same enthusiasm he brought to the court, rink, and course. Whether he was on the golf green, fishing on the lake, dominating at racquetball or broomball, or simply cheering on loved ones from the sidelines, Steve embraced activity. His adventurous spirit wasn't confined to sports; he was a true world traveler who cultivated deep roots and cherished homes in both Minnesota and the lovely landscapes of Hawaii. More than his adventures, Steve will be remembered as a beloved father, devoted grandfather, and loyal friend. His generous spirit meant he was always ready to offer a helping hand or share a word of encouragement. His infectious enthusiasm and zest for life will continue to shine brightly through the many lives he touched. He is reunited in spirit with his parents, Shirley and Arthur; his sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Barry; and his brothers-in-law Jay and Paul. Steve's enduring legacy of love and laughter lives on through his devoted family: his children, Jolene (Adrien) and Liz (Mike); his cherished grandchildren, Alice, Jayce, and Asher; his siblings, Kevin (Jeanne), Kim, Cindy, and Leslie (Dean); his loyal best friends, Pete and Annie; and his godson, Zach (Carly). He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends and neighbors. Services A Memorial Service will be held at Washburn & McReavy Funeral Home in Bloomington on Saturday, November 15th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. followed by a light reception. A grand Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2026 at The Knights of Columbus in Bloomington. We invite all who have known and loved Putter to join us for a joyful commemoration and a time for sharing of favorite memories.
