Shemoriah Johnson

Shemoriah Johnson, 58, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away on December 22, 2022. Shemoriah was born on September 03, 1964 in Flint, Michigan to Carolyn Davidson and Johnnie Naylor. For high school, she attended North High School located in North Minneapolis, MN. After high school, Shemoriah attended Minneapolis College and graduated with her CNA certificate. Shemoriah was an accomplished - retired CNA (certified nursing assistant), over the course of 20 years. Shemoriah loved helping people in the nursing field. In her spare time, Shemoriah loved to cook, sing, and make social media videos to her favorite songs. Also, she loved spending time with her 6 year old doggy daughter Khole! In 2008, she met Steven Duncan, and it was almost like love at first sight. For almost twenty years, Shemoriah and Steven were the love of each other's lives and partners. They both shared a daughter Kay (future lawyer/ Steven's stepdaughter). Kay was happy to have great parents that she could live with, talk to, and help with her goals and dreams. Shemoriah loved her siblings. Although she was the oldest, her younger siblings always tried to encourage and support her. Shemoriah's sister Marlo always helped her with positive spirituality. Shemoriah talked and called her sister Ramonia everyday. Although, sometimes they would argue (sisterly love). Ramonia would take Shemoriah to all of her favorite stores and rides around the city. Shemoriah was full of energy and a popular socialite knowing people everywhere she went! Shemoriah was a fashion trendsetter. In her spare time, when she got a chance she loved to party with her GOD daughter Kalona Barber. She enjoyed when her cousins Onterrail and Montreail would come from Iowa. Shemoriah was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Davidson; sisters, Precious and Michelle Naylor. She is survived by her daughter, Kay; father, Johnnie Naylor; sisters, Ramonia Naylor, Marlo Mcadams, and Andrea Outlaw; brothers, Damon Naylor, Wilburt (Skip) Mcadams in Pontiac Michigan, Anthony in Fort Dodge Iowa, Issac, and David; nieces, Rainia Tucker and Brady Mcadams; nephews, Kyle Mcadams and Marquis Cates; best friends, Carolyn Barber and Lina; GOD daughter, Kalona Barber; GOD son, Elijah; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial service to be held on Saturday, January 28th at 2 PM at Washburn-McReavy Swanson Chapel, 1600 Lowry Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411. Visitation one hour prior.
