"Ted Olmsted" Scott Edward Donald Olmsted October 1, 1953 - December 13, 2024 It is with profound sorrow that the family of "Ted", Scott Edward Donald Olmsted, age 71, of East Bethel, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly at home on December 13, 2024. Ted was born on October 1, 1953, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Donald and Irene Olmsted. The family moved to British Columbia and California and eventually settled in Maple Grove MN with his siblings Donald "Donny" Olmsted and Joanne "Dee Dee" Plourde. After Ted graduated from Osseo High School in 1972, Ted worked for PAKO and married Cheryl Lynne Boggs (Elsmore) in 1974. They were married for 20 years and had four beautiful children, Scott, Jennifer, Christopher and Melissa. Ted's job took him to Vancouver and Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. He opened Kelowna Darkroom and became a volunteer Firefighter. Living in Kelowna, Ted was able to embrace his love for downhill skiing as well as being an avid outdoorsman with hunting, fishing, camping and flying ultralights. After moving back to Minnesota in 1986, Ted and his family resided in Brooklyn Park. Ted was employed as a manufacturing supervisor at Pentair, Mclean, Chandler, States Manufacturing. In addition to being a Volunteer Firefighter in Brooklyn Park, Ted was a Firefighter instructor at Hennepin/Anoka Technical College, as well as a long-time valued member of the Red Knights Fire Fighter Motorcycle Club who are known for their philanthropic efforts. Ted was married a second time in 1997 to "Cherri" Cheryl Lynn Anselment with her two children, Ryan and Brianna Weber. They moved to East Bethel MN in 2000 where Ted eventually retired with the East Bethel Fire Department. They were married 27 years. Ted will be deeply missed and remembered most for his love of music, sense of humor and caring nature. Ted is survived by his wife Cherri Olmsted. Children: Scott Olmsted (Michelle), Jennifer Taylor (Olmsted), Christopher Olmsted, Melissa Olmsted, Ryan Weber and Brianna Weber. Grandchildren: Noelle Huver, Courtney Huver, Lauren Huver, Tyler Huver, Olivia Olmsted, Eleanor Olmsted, Abel Primrose, Grayson Primrose, Odin Primrose, Aiden Olmsted-Stromberg, Korben Olmsted-Stromberg, Alexis Christenson, Donte Weber, Hailie Weber, Irelynn Colomb. Great Grandchild: Marceline Weber. Sister DeeDee Plourde (Robert), Brother Donny Olmsted (Nick and Josh). Preceded in death by his parents, Donald Bruce Olmsted and Irene Helen Olmsted and granddaughter Taylor Ann Huver.
