Samantha Jane Benoit

Samantha Jane "Sam" Benoit tragically died in an automobile accident January 27th, 2024. She was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin on September 10th, 1999 to Dale Benoit and Paula Madsen (Geving/Benoit). She graduated high school in 2018 from Ivan Sands in Elk River Minnesota, and worked at various jobs before finding her groove as a QC supervisor at Morris packaging where she loved her job and her coworkers. Sam cherished her family and friends with a passion. She was vibrant, fun, and lit up a room with her beauty and bright personality. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Her family and friends were her life. Especially her grandmothers, her little brothers, and her cousins. Her Uncle Josh was her partner in crime and traveling partner. They took many trips together multiple times over the past few years. They were in the process of booking a five day trip in covered wagons along the Oregon Trail when she was suddenly ripped out of our lives. Sam's life was filled by her art and her animals. She especially loved turtles. Her dog Odie, cat Saphira, 2 turtles, Sally, and Henry, and 3 chinchillas were central in her daily life and brought her such joy. Sam was always working on various creative projects. She loved making things, especially presents for her family and friends. Her creativity was endless. Paintings, drawings, resin projects, fabrics, and desserts were something she was always using her creative passions for making for others. She even painted custom chairs for presents for her family this past Christmas. Sam is survived by her father. Dale (Eva) Benoit, and her mother Paula (Eric) Madsen. She is also survived by her grandmother Jane Geving, her uncles Josh Benoit, Nate (Krista) Benoit, Wes (Rachelle) Benoit, Michael (Mae) Geving and her little brothers Logan, and Gavin. She is also survived by her cousins Noelle and Nickolas Benoit, Emily, Gunnar and Lizzy Geving and Maci Pickar, as well as many great uncles and aunts, cousins and a host of friends that loved her like family. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Becky Benoit. Sam's Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday 2/6 at 4 pm at the Zimmerman Community Church on 5th St. in Zimmerman, Minnesota, with visitation starting at 3:30pm. Her family also invites everyone to the Zimmerman American Legion from 5 to 9 pm for fellowship, food and funny dancing like Sam would have wanted.
