Rosemary Magdalene Vogt

Vogt, Rosemary M. (Bott) 84, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2022. A loving wife, mother of 5 and grandmother of 14. Born on July 25, 1938, to John and Mary Bott of Colman, South Dakota. Rosemary was a graduate of Colman High School and alumni of Sacred Heart School of Nursing where she obtained her Registered Nurse Diploma in 1959. After graduating, she moved to New York and worked at the Sloane Kettering Institute for a year. In 1961, Rosemary moved to Minneapolis taking a job at Methodist Hospital as an RN. In 1962, Rosemary married William "Bill" Vogt. She always felt that Bill was her greatest gift from God. Together they raised their 5 children. They were married for 58 years and the devotion they showed each other has been admired by many. The saddest day in Rosemary's life was June 23, 2020, the day Bill passed away. He was her soul mate, her purpose, and the love of her life. Rosemary's passions were baking, sewing, bible study (with the Bible Babes), spending time with family and friends, playing cards and most of all spending time at the cabin in Crosslake. She was a devout Catholic and loved the community of Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church. She was active with the church Guild, CCD program, bible study, RENEW, Extraordinary minister, and as a Reader at Mass. Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, sister Marie (Martin) Ginsbach, brother Edward (Arlene) Bott, sisters Doris (Dean) Becker, Theresa (Alvin) Cahoy, Isabel (Floyd) Heinemann, and Patricia (Don) Dvoracek. She will be deeply missed by her children: Tom Vogt, Marie (Chris) Duenow, Jim (Jessica) Vogt, Joe (Kim) Vogt, John (Joni) Vogt; Grandchildren: Marissa and Jack (Vogt), Elizabeth, Max, and Claire (Duenow), Lucy and Charlie (Vogt), Willa, Alec, and Zoey Hutain (Vogt), Penelope, Josephine, Oscar, and Genevieve (Vogt). Additionally, Rosemary is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. Visitation will be held on November 9, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Washburn McReavy Funeral Chapel, 1838 E. Minnehaha Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN. A Funeral Mass will be on November 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 5426 12th Ave. S. Minneapolis, MN. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
