Ronald Alan Retzer

Ronald Alan Retzer, of Bloomington, Minnesota, born November 26, 1956, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on March 26, 2026 at the age of 69. Ron suffered a stroke on Saturday, February 7, and spent nearly two months at Regions Hospital. The stroke caused significant brain injury which ultimately led to his passing. He spent his last days surrounded by family and friends. Ron attended Mankato State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree and met the mother of his children. As an adult, he worked for his father's real estate company and later became a trained real estate appraiser. Over the course of several decades, Ron successfully co-owned two real estate appraisal companies. Later in life, Ron met Pam. They became best friends, fell in love, and shared 13 wonderful years together. They especially enjoyed time with their grandchildren, vacationing, fishing at the cabin, dining out, and simply enjoying life together. Ron was always quick with a joke and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed talking about politics and sports and had a deep passion for fishing. He was loyal to his friends and family and always worked to build a strong foundation for his kids, grandkids, and future generations. Most of all, he to took great pride in his family and his work. Ron is preceded in death by his father, Albert J Retzer, as well as his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. He is survived by his partner, Pamela Kaufmann; son Tyler (Kiersten) and their three children Franklin (8), Theodore (6), and Harrison (3); daughter Chelsea (Austin Hebig) and their child Maxwell (1); stepchildren Joseph, James (Estella), and Jennifer (Daniel) and their child Emma (2); his mother, Dolores; sister Cindy (Greg); as well as many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, extended family, and friends. Funeral service 10 AM Saturday, April 11, at Bloomington Living Hope Lutheran Church, 9350 Portland Avenue S., Bloomington, MN with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment at Dawn Valley Memorial Park.
