Remembering Roger Anderson Roger Anderson (Ando) 89 of Blaine, Minnesota, left this earth on April 4, 2025. A proud Robbinsdale native and cherished member of his community, Roger lived a life filled with laughter, love, and an unwavering passion for the simple joys of life. Roger was a devoted dog lover, always finding happiness in the company of his many furry friends, especially his pal Norm. He had a lifelong love for Minnesota sports teams, seldom missing a game and cheering on his favorite teams with enthusiasm, no matter their records. A true family man, Roger rarely missed a sporting or school event of his kids or grandkids, proudly supporting them every step of the way. His pride in their achievements and his love for them knew no bounds. Family was what mattered most to Roger. Roger's favorite pastimes included sipping coffee, telling jokes, and enjoying the familiar rhythms of country music. He had a knack for cribbage, where his quick wit and strategic mind often made him a winner, including the time he had the elusive 29 hand. He also loved puttering around the house and fixing things, always with a trusty Menards run close by. His visits to the Minnesota State Fair were an annual tradition, bringing him joy with its lively atmosphere and delicious treats, especially the foot long hot dogs, which were often his first stop at the Fair. Finally, he loved spending time at the Blaine Senior Center, playing cards and interacting with friends. Roger leaves behind his three children, Annette Anderson (Erick Benson), Michelle Stambaugh (Jon), and Michael Anderson (Carmen). He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Matthew Bjergo, Justine Wewers (Justin), Joshua Stambaugh and Zachary Stambaugh. In addition, two great grandchildren, Kennedy and Charlotte Wewers. His warmth, humor, and the legacy of his love will be cherished forever. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 50 years, Judy. A celebration of Roger's life will be held on April 18 at Washburn-McReavy in Crystal, Minnesota with visitation starting at 10:00 am, and a service at 11:00 am, with lunch to follow. After lunch, we will be toasting to Roger's life at the Shortstop Bar & Grill in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Stop by to reminisce. Roger taught us to treasure the moments that make life special-family gatherings, shared laughter, and cheering for those we love. His legacy is one of love and joy, and his spirit will forever shine in the lives of those he touched.
