Patrick Joseph Moynihan

Patrick Joseph Moynihan, age 60, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, with family at his side. Patrick was a caring brother, uncle, Godfather, neighbor, and friend, who indelibly etched his spirit in those who spent time with him. Patrick was an amazing nurturer and caregiver, who often put the care of others before his own needs. He had lifelong passions for gardening, swimming, flying, and travel. Family and strangers alike were blessed by his kind and attentive nature, laced with a wicked sense of humor. Patrick developed a close group of friends in Merida Mexico, where he had lived and worked for years, and they hold a very special place in his heart . He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Moynihan; and brother, Jerry Moynihan. Patrick is survived by siblings, Tim Moynihan, Elizabeth (Paul) Olson, Molly Heise, John (Nancy) Moynihan, Ann Skradski, and Marie (Scott) Pries. He was loved and will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Matt (Katie) and Ted Heise, Kelly and Tara Moynihan, Riley (Maddy), Maeve, Colin (Courtney) and Maggie Moynihan, Dan, Joe, and Jack Pries, and Briana Moynihan. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to amazing staff at Carver Ridge Senior Living in Carver, and Grace Hospice for taking such great care of Patrick . A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 W. 50th St. Edina.
