Patrick James Bartlett

Bartlett, Patrick J. Pat passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 4, 2025. Born on June 18, 1943, in Minneapolis to Ora and Freda Bartlett, he grew up in Northeast Minneapolis with his four brothers, George, Jack, Bob, and Terry and three sisters, Shirley, Betty, and Linda. The Bartlett siblings shared a very special bond and supported and loved each other throughout their lives. He graduated from Minneapolis Vocational High School in 1961 with a focus in graphic arts and printing. During High School, he played on the Varsity football and tennis team, was a member of the school newspaper staff, sang in the choir, and was actively involved in the student council. Outside of school, he enjoyed playing hockey, basketball, and softball with this friends. After graduation, he worked various jobs until he joined Pillsbury as a press operator. Over the 25 years with Pillsbury, he became a senior manager of the printing, mailing, and copy center departments. After Pillsbury, he joined other printing companies in a variety of roles until his retirement. Pat met his wife, Connie, at a dance in Minneapolis. They married on March 21, 1964. They were married for 34 years and had three children: Lori, Shawn, and Kristin. Pat and Connie raised their family in Coon Rapids, where they attended and were actively involved with Epiphany church. Pat enjoyed singing and was a member of the church choir for many years. He loved to fish and camp with his family, play board games and cards, and go on cruises with Connie. When Connie was diagnosed with breast cancer, he took care of her in their home until her death in 1998. In 2000, he married Betty, whom he had met in the church choir. For the next 24 years they loved to sing together at church, go dancing, play cards, vacation together to visit family and friends, and make fun memories with their grandchildren. Every January and February would find them enjoying the warm weather, photographing birds, and seashell hunting on South Padre Island. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Freda Bartlett; his wife of 34 years, Connie; son, Shawn; brothers Jack and Bob; sisters Shirley and Linda; and many other family and friends that he loved dearly. He will forever be cherished and missed by his wife Betty; children, Lori, Kristin, and Mike; stepchildren, Michael, Ann (Luke), Nicholas (Katie), and Adam (Melissa); grandchildren, Bobbi, Tony, Constance, Aidan, Elliot, Teagan, Anara, and Elias; great-grandchildren, Kylie and Nova; brothers George and Terry; sister Betty; Godchildren, Sandy, Dan, and Shannon; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 10:30 AM at Epiphany Catholic Church, 1900 111th Ave NW. Coon Rapids, MN. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Epiphany Cemetery. 1900 111th Ave NW. Coon Rapids, MN. Through all of life's trials, Pat always found joy and an optimism that he shared through his quirky sense of humor, the kindness he showed to others, and his positive outlook. In lieu of flowers, please spread joy, kindness, and love to others in memory of Pat.
