PATRICIA JACQUITA "JACKIE" OLSON October 31, 1932 - October 15, 2024 Jackie Olson was a loving wife, mother, Nana, and friend who peacefully passed away October 15, 2024, at the age of 91. Jackie was known for her zest for life and always greeted others with a smile and warm welcome. Jackie was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 31, 1932. After graduation from Roosevelt High School, Jackie went to Business School and became a secretary for Continental Insurance in downtown Chicago. At the age of 20, her mother persuaded her to attend a friend's house party, where she met her future "soul mate", Bob Olson. While Bob was displaying another of his infamous "slide collections", Jackie took a keen interest and the rest is history. They exchanged wedding vows on June 18, 1955, and were blessed with true love for 67 years. Jackie and Bob went on to raise 3 daughters. The quintessential loving "Mom", Jackie made sure her girls were dedicated students, attended church at Mt. Olivet every Sunday, and shared their God-given talents. As the girls grew older, Jackie excelled at various positions within Dayton Hudson Corporation and Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She was a life-long reader and learner. The real estate courses she completed eventually led to the formation of the revered "Bob and Jackie" real estate team. During their retirement years, Jackie and Bob enjoyed traveling the world while sharing time between their homes in Green Valley, Arizona and Edina, Minnesota. She loved spending time together playing golf, touring Arizona, and singing in the Desert Hills Church Choir. Jackie had a talent in sketching and watercolor art, which inspired her throughout the remainder of her life. Jackie will always be remembered for her devotion to others "to help guide them to their full potential". Even in her last days, Jackie could be heard saying, "Never give up." "Smile and the world smiles with you. Weep and you weep alone." "Be happy and spread joy to others." In addition to her parents, Milton and Louise Meyers, Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Olson. Survivors include her daughters, Patty Bishop (Mike Bishop), Kathy Olson, and Amy Hare (Dan Hare), grandchildren Michelle Bishop, Nicole Bishop (Michael Sodek), Danielle Kovar (Aaron Kovar), Jennie Lennick (Sam Robertson), David Lennick, Jacob Hare, and Shannon Hare, and great-grandchildren Andrew Sodek, Matthew Sodek, Joseph Kovar, and Ruby Robertson. The family would like to thank the dedicated caregivers at Parkwood/Parkshore Community in St. Louis Park, Masonic Home in Bloomington, and Grace Hospice for their love and support. Everyone she met was moved by Jackie's love of family and her strong value of "living life to the fullest, with a positive attitude". She is dearly missed and will forever remain in our hearts. Celebration of Life, Thursday, November 14th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with service at 6:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made in Jackie's honor to Mt.
