Age 87 of Shoreview, passed peacefully into Eternal Life February 19, 2020. Survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Ralph; children, Deborah (Tony) Sanders, MaryLynn Riesch, Kathleen (Pat) Kelly, Andrew, Paula Gallagher and Anna Lund; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Wally Billy, Andre Armstrong and Trudi Toland; daughter-in-law, Judith. Born on April 29, 1932 in Afton, Minnesota, Patricia was the daughter of Wilfred and Hazel (Pennington) Billy. When she was born as the fifth child of nine siblings, her older sister, Lorraine, was so excited because she finally had a baby sister after three brothers. Patricia grew up in White Bear Lake, graduating from White Bear Lake High School in 1950. She met the love of her life, Ralph Keppers, while roller skating in White Bear Lake, and was married on October 10, 1950. Father Bernard Reiser, who married them, advised them to spend money on flowers while they were alive, so they could enjoy them, and not after they were gone. Following this advice, Patricia received flowers from her loving husband on every wedding anniversary, birthday, Valentine's Day and Christmas. Ralph and Patricia, along with the help of Ralph's brothers, built their home in Shoreview. They moved into their home in the fall of 1953 and continued to live there to this day. They raised seven children while enjoying gardening, canning, sewing, traveling and crafts. Patricia was a founding member and pillar of her church, St. Odilia's in Shoreview. She was a member of CCW and was involved with crafts, jewelry sales, bake sales, fall festivals, quilting and many other committees. With their ample garden produce, Patricia, along with Ralph, were known for their hundreds of homemade jars of dill pickles sold at the fall festivals, along with jars of their homemade horseradish at bake sales. Some motherly advice: On trying something new: If you have a chance to do something you have never done or go someplace new, go for it. That chance may never come again. When you have struggles: Sometimes you need to take life by minutes instead of hours to get thru the day. Although her health had been declining in recent years, with the support and help of her husband and children, Patricia was able to remain at home. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years; six children, Deborah (Tony) Sanders, MaryLynn Riesch, Kathleen (Pat) Kelly, Andrew, Paula Gallagher and Anna Lund; daughter-in-law Judith Keppers; grandchildren John (Kelly) Kelly Kenley, Michael (Alicia) Kelly, Michael Weinerman, Michael (Erin Canady) Riesch, Brian Riesch, Madeline Gallagher, Patrick Gallagher, Rozlynn Lund and Sierra Sanders; great-grandchildren, Logan Kelly Kenley, William Kelly Kenley, Meagan Kelly Kenley, Dale Kelly and Quinn Kelly. She is also survived by siblings Wally Billy, Andre Armstrong and Trudi Toland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Kenneth, and siblings Lorraine Allen, Ray Billy, Roger Billy, John Billy and Larry Billy.
