Patricia Genevieve Hicke

Patricia Genevieve Hicke 8/7/1937-11/17/2024 Patricia was born on August 7, 1937 to John and Rose Caviezel in St. Paul, Minnesota, the youngest of four children, she was the beloved "baby" of the family. Pat attended a Catholic elementary school and Harding High School. Following graduation, she worked as a Bookkeeper until she married Ronald Hicke in June of 1958. Ron and Pat made their home in Mounds View, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three sons. Pat's family and faith were her number one priorities. She took her roles as wife, mother, and homemaker very seriously. She meticulously cared for her home and genuinely cared for others. A long time member of St. John the Baptist Church, she was devout in her faith throughout her entire life, which was truly evident, and she instilled those values in her children as well. Pat's warmth, selflessness, and sense of humor made her very special. She enjoyed dancing to a good polka, raking leaves, and her love of sweets was well known. She always wanted the piece of cake with the most frosting! The wonderful dishes and desserts she made have become family classics. Pat believed that dessert was the best part of the meal! She put her "all" into raising her family and eventually, grandchildren were welcomed. Pat made sure to create special memories with them, from baking together and sleepovers, to sliding in the snow and rollerskating with them. She knew how to have fun! Pat always preferred a small car, as she was a petite lady. The grandkids jokingly called it a "tootie" car. For her 80th Birthday, Ron surprised her with a red VW Beetle at a large family gathering! After 64 memory-filled years at the home in Mounds View, Ron and Pat sold the house and moved to Epiphany Pines in Coon Rapids. Getting the family together was always very important to Pat and she was blessed to be surrounded by her beloved family as she peacefully took her last breath and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Sunday, November 17th, 2024. Pat is survived by her husband, Ronald, and sons Robert (Valerie), Michael (Marne), and James (Linda); grandchildren Karina (Brett), David (Erica), Thomas (Nicole), Briana (Dave), Bradley, Samantha, Luke, Todd (Kali), John (Emily); great-grandchildren Hartly, Rozen, Jamie, Cameron, Hayden, and one on the way! Memorials can be made to St. John the Baptist Church A Funeral will held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 835 2nd Ave. NW New Brighton MN 55112 Visitation 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Lunch Procession to Ft. Snelling approximately 12:45 p.m.
