Ordean Loren Wahl April 12, 1937- Feb 3rd, 2025 Wahl Ordean Loren, Age 87, of Coon Rapids Minnesota passed away on February 3rd, 2025, with loved ones surrounding him. Ordean (Dean, Dino) was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ordean was born on April 12, 1937 to Oscar and Lillie in Pelican Rapids, MN. He spent his childhood in Ottertail county. Ordean met his wife Nancy where he bowled at Bryant-Lake Street Bowl, where Nancy would keep her eyes on him and eventually win his love. Ordean was a dedicated husband up until he laid his wife to rest in 1999. Anyone close to the family, knew that Dino would do anything for his Nancy. Ordean served his country in active duty from Feb. 25th, 1957 to Feb. 3rd 1959. Ordean was stationed in North Carolina and was honorably discharged from the US Army on February 28th 1963. Ordean and Nancy had 3 boys they cherished. Ricky, Dennis, and David. The two of them spent countless weekends carting the boys around in their motorhome to the different motocross tracks. Getting so involved in the sport, it was deemed necessary to purchase and run a track in Mora, MN. (Berm Benders). For anyone that knew Ordean and Nancy, you knew they loved the race track and loved watching the boys grow up getting dirty. After the boys grew up, Ordean and Nancy had a new vision for life outside of a dirty race track. They spent their time with the boys building a lake home on Mille Lacs Lake. Ordean spent countless years with the boys, family and friends, perfecting what his vision was on the lake. He wasn't much of a fisherman, but loved being involved with his boys as they would come off the lake with a boat full of Walleyes. He would be there to meet them at the dock and ask the same old question... "Did ya catch anything"? Many times the answer was, no. But he would just say, there is always next time. He thoroughly enjoyed watching other people enjoy the lake. When he wasn't keeping an eye on what others were doing, he had his own interests and tasks to keep himself busy. Planting flowers all around the cabin, watering every inch of the lawn, raking leaves and acorns and filling the many bird feeders around the yard so he can sit and watch which birds would show up next. Ordean enjoyed simple things in life and just wanted everyone around him to enjoy the space in which he built. Ordean was a man that everyone looked up to. Genuine, kind, funny, trustworthy. He was a man that went through life trying to help anyone in his path. If you had a problem around Ordean, he would find a way to fix it with words of encouragement, a hug, high five, a knock in the you know what, or even a trip to Menards where he would guarantee to find something to fix the problem. Maybe even two trips to Menards, but at the end of the day, he would help you until the problem was solved. He made it his mission to help anyone with anything. Ordean loved being around his family and friends. Loved to share stories and just talk. His laugh will surely be missed. Ordean's legacy is carried on by his son Dennis, 3 grandchildren Charity, Cory, Tiffany (Joseph); 7 great-grandchildren Brynn, Alyvia, Mya, Hatty, Cory, Dallas, Kaleb; sister Marlene Wilczek, as well as many other loving family members and friends. Ordean is reunited in passing with his beloved wife Nancy; sons David, Ricky; parents, Lillie, Oscar; sisters Georgine Martinson, Helen Hanninen; brothers Stanley, Marlen Wahl. Services will be held at 11am Friday, Feb. 21st at Washburn- McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd., Coon Rapids, MN. 55433, with visitation starting at 10am. Following the service, burial proceedings will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. All are welcome to attend as we lay Ordean to rest next to his beloved Nancy.
