Nancy (Falk) Martin

Martin, Nancy M. (nee Falk) Age 62, of Edina, formerly of Mpls, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, August 10, 2007, due to complications of Myelofibrosis. Preceded in death by loving husband, Tim Martin; parents, Ida & John Falk and nephew, John Keith. Survived by daughter, Kelly Krider (Greg Lewis); son, Timothy (Alanna) and son, Patrick (Kathy Finnegan); beloved grandchildren, Max and Anthony Krider, Kayla and T.J. Martin, Anna and Connor Martin, Jessica and Katie Lewis; sisters, Betty Holsten and Elaine Keith; nieces, Nancy Cogswell, Krisanne Keith, Jennifer Keith and Rachel Anderson; many other dear family members and friends. Nancy is leaving a tremendous legacy as an extraordinary mother, loving wife and wonderful friend who shared her love and kindness with so many. She enjoyed all of life's adventures and loved to travel with her husband Tim and her children and grandchildren. During Tim's illness and death and in her own, her courage and strength were an inspiration and touchstone for all who knew and loved her. A 19 year employee of the Airline Pilots' Association in Bloomington, just celebrating retirement on April 27, 2007. She loved her job and considered her co-workers to be her "second family." Special thanks to Dr. Weinschel and his staff, Dr. Merlin Brown, the Fairview Southdale 8th floor nursing staff, and the Fairview Hospice Program staff who were angels in helping us help Nancy in her transition peacefully. Thank you to all of you who were there for us during this most difficult time, showing your love through food, visits, flowers, etc. It made our last days with our Mom all the more special. She will be remembered and missed by all the lives she touched. She had her own particular magic and sprinkled a little stardust on us all. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Fairview Hospice Program. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Monday, August 13 at Church of the Holy Name, 3637 11th Ave S., Mpls. Visitation one hour prior to service at church and also Sunday (TODAY), 4-7 PM at: Washburn-McReavy Nokomis Park Chapel 612-721-1651 1838 E. Minnehaha Pkwy
