Mirrill Louis Boike 1951 -2021 Chaska, MN Age 70. Mirrill Boike passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at N.C. Little Hospice House in Edina. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Eulalie (DeBill) Boike, sisters Anita Rohrbach, Maureen (Gordon) McKibbage, and brothers Wayne (Linda) Boike and Kenneth Boike. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Payne, daughters, Jessica (Brandon) Bartholemew, Jenna Boike, and son Ryan Boike, granddaughters Saysha Boike, Alyssa Bartholemew, Audrey Bartholemew, and grandsons Tommy Johnson, Tyler Boike, and Elliott Matson, great granddaughter Noelle Boike and twin great grandsons Levi Huntley, and Asher Huntley. Also surviving are sisters LaRose Martin, Arlene (Ronald) Weckwerth, LeeAnn (Larry) Danielson, and brother Leonard (Lisa Dennison) Boike. Mirrill loved babies and children and they loved him. His grandchildren were especially precious to him. His joy in life was to make others laugh. His comedic timing was impeccable and he was the master of perfectly timed faces and expressions. He loved animals and was preceded in death by dogs, Joe Cocker, Sam, Buddy, Izzy and Heidi, our cat Kiki, Tweety the bird, and a couple dozen chickens and ducks (all with names). Mirrill's career was in advertising managing graphic arts, publishing and printing departments. He loved motorcycles, old cars, "up north", travel, good food (Jennifer's cooking), his farm place on the prairie, and being with family. He was incredibly strong, surviving pancreatic cancer in 2011 with a long but amazing recovery to health. In subsequent years he overcame multiple surgeries and health challenges - never giving up on his will to live. It was hard for him to leave the people he loved, but God said, "Son, it's time to come home. I will wipe away every tear, there will be no more sorrow or pain and, my friend, join me at my banquet table. Supper is ready." Celebration of Life Service at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home, 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55346. Visitation 9:30 - 10:30. Service 10:30 with brunch to follow at Washburn-McReavy Reception Room. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Medical in honor of his love for children.
