Mildred A. (Murack) Good

Good, Mildred A. (Murack) Our loving Mother and Grandma passed away on March 5, 2014. Millie was born on January 17, 1924 to Bartel and Helen Murack in rural Geneseo, ND. Millie graduated from Geneseo High School in 1941. She attended Heffley Business College in NYC. While working for the Army Air Force as a civilian, she met Bob Good. They married on June 20, 1944. When Bob’s military service was complete, they returned to Bob’s hometown of Hopkins. She was a devout life-long Catholic, and a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Hopkins since 1946. Millie loved her family dearly and provided a wonderful home for her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a great cook, loved to bake and enjoyed hosting gatherings for family and friends. Millie’s favorite pastime was dancing, and she and Bob made many friendships over the years dancing at ballrooms in the Twin Cities area and throughout the Midwest. Millie was preceded in death by beloved husband, Robert J. Good in 2007; parents, and siblings, Joe, Natalie, Ed, Julius, Conrad and daughter-in-law, Cheryl. She is survived by daughters, Betty (Mark Poppitz) and Lavonne (Richard) Bennet; son, Kevin Good; grandchildren, Rick (Nadia) Bennet, Kate Bennet, Anne Bennet and Ryan Poppitz; sister, Helen Kubis and many nieces and nephews. Millie battled Alzheimer’s disease for nearly 16 years. Thank you to Drs. Greta Chen and Olufemi Banjoko at PNMC, to Pam, Rebecca, Colleen, Luann, Gretchen and Dr. Duane from Methodist Hospice, and to the outstanding staff at Haven Homes in Maple Plain, where Millie most recently lived. Your care and kindnesses will never be forgotten. Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 PM at the Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel, 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, St. Joseph Campus, 1310 Mainstreet, Hopkins. Burial will be at St. Hubert’s Catholic Cemetery in Chanhassen. Memorials may be given to Methodist Hospice in remembrance of Millie. No one will ever love us like you did, Mom.
