Michael Arthur Manno

Manno, Michael Arthur passed suddenly on Friday March 31st. He always avoided April Fool's day; he knew most people didn't need a special day for that. Born on December 16th, 1966, Mike was in his 51st year much too soon to lose such an incredible man, as evidenced in the love that surrounds and upholds his family now. Mike was a tough guy, and he built a family with strength. His wife Christine, and his daughters Alyssa and Taylor will continue to build that family and grow, keeping in their hearts his hopes and dreams for them, while missing him dearly. His parents, Louise and Arthur Manno, originally of Long Island NY, and now Chanhassen, MN, will ache and miss him in ways few will understand, but will also grow and adapt to his loss with their wonderful family and friends at their side. His sister, Allison Brown (Andy), in his memory, will add her own unique Italian-ness behind the family recipes of their Grandmother they both kept, feeding the souls and the hearts of those he loves. Michael's loss is felt deeply by many extended family and friends, including his Wife's mother Peggy Ellis (Father, Roger, deceased), and Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Kayla (Jerry), John (Ruthanne), Colleen (Jerry), Kathy (Tim), Sue (Ray) and Bobby (Michelle). Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and friends are too numerous to name, but will immediately recognize their inclusion when remembering Michael's always-present goodness, thoughtfulness, kindness and deft ability to cut through bullshit to get to the punch-line, which he always delivered with the deepest laughter. The Family will receive visitors at the Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home in Eden Prairie from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, April 7th. In Mike's fashion, please wear your favorite sports team attire, though he would prefer it if no Yankees gear were present. To Mike, there was only the Mets, Islanders, and, well, sometimes even the Vikings, if he was being honest. Basically, teams that lost. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 8th at the same location at 11am. A gathering of close family, friends and out of town guests will follow, the location of which to be shared at the Celebration. In lieu of flowers (which Mike thought were a complete waste of money, but which he gave Chrissy every Valentines Day anyway), please contribute to a charity in his name.
