Michael C. Boosalis

Michael C. Boosalis Boosalis, Michael C. age 88 of Richfield fell asleep in the Lord 3/6/16. Mike C. Tsouka" "Big Boo" Boosalis was born Christmas day 1927. He proudly served in WW11 from 1944-1947 with the Merchant Marines. Mike married his wife of 67 years Stella Siganos in 1948. Throughout his life he worked in the restaurant business at the Pioneer in Minneapolis and the Sweet Shop in Fairmont, MN. In the mid 1970's he began working as a Millwright in construction with "Local # 548". Mike was a lifelong member of St Mary's Greek Orthodox Church in Minneapolis. He was a member of the Merchant Marine Viking Chapter, American Hellenic Legion Post 129, AHEPA, Millwright Union Local #548, and the Wasie Pool. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Chris D and Kyriaka Boosalis, brothers James C, and Kostaki C, sisters Tula and Maria, and granddaughter Jamie Thate. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Stella; his siblings, Nick C. (Katherine), Helen Peters, and Peter C. (Annina); his children: Karen (Gerald) Petersen, Chris Michael (Margie), Katina (James) Thate, and Harry Michael; the "dividends of his life", 14 grandchildren: Amy (Jeremy) Campion, Aaron Petersen, Angie Petersen, Katina (Jeff) Miner, Elizabeth (Eric) Saathoff, Michael C Boosalis II, Rebecca Thate, Michael Thate, Melissa (Dustin) Rasmussen, Steven (Helena) Thate, Michael Harry Boosalis, Katerina Boosalis, Maria Boosalis and Andreas Boosalis And Propapou's "crown jewels", 12 great grandchildren: Michael and Sofia Roessler, Rhyse and Zoe Campion, Basil, Macrina and Emilia Saathoff, Stella and Lydia Miner, Lawrence Rasmussen, Soren Thate, and Jackson Petersen. Special thanks to the wonderful and loving staff at Jones Harrison Residence, Mike was so very appreciative of your kind and respectful care. Memorials preferred to St Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, Minneapolis. Visitation Mar. 10, 5-7 PM, with Trisagion at 6 PM at Washburn-McReavy Edina Funeral Chapel, 5000 W. 50th St, Edina.
