Maureen Mary Blustein

Blustein, Maureen Mary (Donnelly), 67, born January 9, 1959, died peacefully May 29, 2026, with family at her side. Survived by husband Scott, sons Joe (Chelsie), Tony, Sam and her cat Missy; beloved brothers John (Joni), Mike, Tom (Laurie); and many close family members and friends. Maureen was born and raised on the east side of St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended both catholic and public elementary and junior high school prior to graduating from Harding High School. Maureen's childhood was filled with family and neighborhood activities. After high school she worked for 12 years at West Publishing. Later in life she worked in real estate and returned to school; and proudly completed her post-secondary education with a Broker's License in Real Estate. The new adventure started for her when she started her own real estate company, Home Front Realty, assisting many family and friends with their home searches. Maureen and Scott met on a blind date in 1989 and later were married in April 1991. They raised 3 boys. The 1990's through the 2010's were filled with raising a family while proudly participating in her children's school careers from kindergarten, religious studies through high school graduation and post-secondary activities. Attending her boys' sporting events, mostly soccer and basketball, kept her very busy throughout their time living in Falcon Heights and Shoreview, Minnesota. Maureen enjoyed crafting, ceramics and rubber stamping. She had her own home business teaching ceramics and gained many new friends along the way. All of this was while her and Scott were raising three boys. Maureen really enjoyed singing in the church choir at St. Andrews and St. Genevieve where the kids attended religious classes and received all sacraments through confirmation. Maureen was deeply devoted to, and spent as much time as possible, with her family and friends. Her grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles were all very dear to her. She was also close with the families of her friends Gail, Sue, Micheal, and many others. She became an important part in the lives of their children, siblings, and extended families. Most recently Maureen struggled with a number of health issues and complications that unfortunately led to her losing her fight. Everyone close to Maureen was grateful that she was at peace when she passed.
