Mary Katherine Dickson

Mary Katherine (Drummond) Dickson passed into the arms of Jesus on August 3, 2023. Born in St. Paul, MN on August 30, 1932 to Kenneth and Mildred Drummond. 90+ years a sweetheart to all who knew and loved her. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years John Dickson. Blessed with four children Robert Dickson (Kim) Mpls., MN; Douglas Dickson (Stacy) New Richmond, WI; Kristine O'Connor (Larry) Somerset, WI; Steven Dickson (Rosie) Lake City, MN. Also survived by beloved grandchildren Michele Conlan, Christopher, and Anders Dickson, Gina Larson, Lisa Taubman, Corey Picha, Cassidy Schweer and many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary graduated from Monroe High School in St. Paul MN. She received an AA degree from the University of Minnesota. She married John Dickson on March 20,1953 and together they raised their family while she fully supported John at Barr Engineering, Mpls. Mary was a lifelong student of the Bible, belonging to many circle groups and Bible studies over the years. Her love for Jesus Christ and reflecting His love and grace was evident to anyone she encountered. She enjoyed painting, gardening, genuine conversation, cooking, entertaining and most of all serving! She saw the world as a beautiful and colorful palette full of God's creation and opportunities. She offered encouragement to all with a gentle, joyful, peaceful spirit that was truly contagious. Mary had a heart of gold and such a beautiful smile!! She saw the beauty in each person and was always loving and supportive. Let one of Mary's favorite verses encourage us: "Finally, brothers and sisters (sons, daughter, grand/great-grandchildren, family/friends) Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things." Philippians 4:8 Visitation 10 to 11 AM with a Memorial Service at 11 AM, on Thursday, August 24 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Mahtomedi, MN.
