Marlene Joan Herzuck

Marlene J. Herzuck (McCrady) of Spring Lake Park, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2024, at the age of 89. Born the second of three children by Vernon and Sandy McCrady of Northeast Minneapolis. She attended Edison High School and enjoyed both music and art, which followed her throughout the rest of her life. After school, she met John Herzuck while working at Land O'Lakes. In 1959, the young couple moved from Northeast Minneapolis to Spring Lake Park which they called home until their passing. Early in their marriage they had four children, Cindy, Dave, Jeff and John. Juggling four children, maintaining a household, and working outside the home wasn't unusual for Marlene. She held numerous retail sales positions at Northtown Mall. From Leib's, Powers, Brauns, and eventually Christopher and Banks where she shared her love of fashion and retired at the age of 72. She also volunteered her time and talent to the church choir in the early years and in her later years volunteered her efforts by creating beautiful wreaths for their seasonal decor. She was a judge for small town pageants and parades all over Minnesota. She enjoyed going up to McGregor and the family cabin on Big Sandy Lake during the summer. Life was always better by the lake. Being of Irish decent, she could spot a 4 leaf clover a block away. Proceeded in death by parents Vernon and Sandy McCrady, brother Marlowe McCrady, and husband John Herzuck. Survived by sister Joan Wilson, and children: Cindy (Doug) Hansen, Dave Herzuck, Jeff Herzuck, John (Dawn) Herzuck. Grandchildren: Emily Hansen, Ryan Herzuck, Amanda Herzuck, Adam (Rilee) Herzuck, Kristy Aho, Tiffany Herzuck, Desirae Fluck, Courtney Giese, Aubrey Roberts, Makenna Herzuck, Gavin Herzuck. Great Grandchildren: Jacob Herzuck, Emma Herzuck, Tybee Flaherty, Miranda Aho, Justin Aho, Avery Aho, Jacob Aho, Rowan Seger, Finn Seger, Jack Dobobenski, Kathlin Fluck, Braydon Fluck, Claire Giese, Austin Roberts, Bentley Roberts, Memphis Roberts. Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 641 89th Avenue NE, Blaine on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Visitation 10 AM. Funeral service 11 AM, with luncheon to follow. Internment will be at Fort Snelling.
