Marjorie Hilleren June 24, 1931 - July 24, 2024 Marge, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 93. She was born on June 24, 1931, and touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the youngest of three siblings, following her sister Joan Ronbeck (deceased) and her brother Bob McGinty, 97. Marge was a devoted wife (John Hilleren deceased) mother to her four children, Jerry (Diane), Jane (Lyle) Joan (Eric) and Nancy (Jeff) and a loving grandmother to nine grandchildren, Kerri (Josh), Megan (Mike), Andy (Kristen), Sara (Igor), Jon and Crista, Abby (Caleb), Arne, Morgan (Jesus), Lauren (Ari) and 10 great-grandchildren, Isabel, Isaiah, Immanuel, Ines, Ignatius, Lily, Luke, Alexei, Matteo, Theo, with more on the way. A cheerleader and graduate of St. Louis Park High School and the University of Minnesota, with a degree in Elementary Education. Marge was a dedicated teacher. Marge was a caring and active member in both her church and community. Her volunteer work spanned numerous organizations, including Welcome Wagon, scouting groups, and various clubs. Marge's boundless enthusiasm for life and competitive nature was evident in her many activities-traveling, camping, downhill and cross-country skiing, tennis, ice skating, golf, biking, hiking, swimming, and voracious reading. Independent and adventurous, Marge balanced her adventurous spirit with a caring and supportive nature. She was known for her quiet strength, always preferring to promote. Family was the cornerstone of her life, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her loved ones. In remembering Marge, we celebrate a life lived with courage, love, and a spirit of adventure. Her legacy will be carried on by her family and friends who were touched by her generosity and resilience. A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 3 at Transfiguration Lutheran church in Bloomington, MN with a visitation at 10, service at 11 followed by lunch. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Second Harvest Heartland or charity of your choice in Marge's honor. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
