Lucas, LouAnne 11/10/1932 - 8/15/2015 LouAnne Lucas, age 82, passed away peacefully in her patio lounge chair while basking in the warm-th and spirit of the sun on Saturday, August 15, 2015. Daughter, Mother, Sister, Grandma, Mor Mor, Aunt, Friend. We will miss you LouAnne. LouAnne's love was her greatest gift - it was unconditional and forgiving. She had a patient ear and remained hopeful as she guided her children and family through life. Thank you for teaching us this most important lesson. LouAnne was never without her sweet dimpled smile and a pair of silver patinated earrings. She was easy to laugh and loved to flirt. She was a gracious host and could effortlessly pull together a party with casual finery and flair. You knew she considered you family when she served her oh-so-tender meatloaf or rice pudding. LouAnne was an avid estate sale shopper and perfectly curated her home, mixing antiques and books with other items of beauty, heart and soul. The Crosslake cabin held a special place in her heart - and was the gathering place for all the things she loved: family togetherness, coffee on the patio and cocktails on the porch, eagles, agates, and things of rustic elegance. Her lifelong pursuits and friendships took her far and wide. She and her true love, Bob Carruthers, founded the Blizzard Ski Club in their young married years; and she shared many unforgettable adventures with her Lunch Bunch, Book Club, Xerox gang and the St. Louis Park class of 1951. LouAnne leaves behind daughters Cindy Carruthers and Nancy Ficken; brother Boz Albinson (Terri); grandchildren Kayla, Lauren, Andrea, Mitch, Sarah; numerous nieces and nephews; countless friends; and her cherished furry, four-legged companions. LouAnne is preceded in death by parents Vog and Judy, brother Kent, husband Bob Carruthers and her beloved son Bobby Carruthers. What an optimistic woman you were! May your spirit soar with the adventure and grace in which you lived your life. Memorial Service Friday 8/21/2015 at 10:00am at Lakewood Chapel. 3600 Hennepin Ave., Mpls.
