Lisa Jeanne Vecchi

Vecchi (Ginkel), Lisa was a caring wife, loving mother, loyal sister and treasured friend. She left this world unexpectedly on August 12, 2021 at the age of 62. She was born to Thomas and Jeanne Vecchi on February 26th 1959 in Hibbing, MN and was raised in Duluth, MN with her 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She graduated from Duluth East High School and went on to earn her bachelors degree from St. Cloud State University. After college she moved to the Twin Cities where she enjoyed a successful career at Northwest Airlines. On January 25, 1995 Steve and Lisa were overjoyed to welcome their beautiful daughter, Michaella, to the world. She was a true miracle for their family and a gift of hope. There was nothing she loved more than being a mother to Michaella who was a vital piece of her heart and filled her life up, making it overflow with that special mother- daughter love. Lisa was a fun-loving, adventurous person who adored her family, friends, laughter, music, cooking, gardening, animals, interior design, bible study and travel. On September 16, 2018 Lisa married the love of her life, Elby. Their love story is one for the books, as they have known each other since they were in college. They have spent the last three years living each day to the fullest, and loving one another with all they had. Whether they were riding motorcycles, traveling or being by the water, they always kept each other smiling and laughing. Their life together was one big, beautiful adventure. Lisa exuded love. Everyone that met her felt it and was instantly enveloped by her warmth and kind spirit. Lisa had an incredible way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved for exactly who they were. She was selfless and servant hearted and was always putting others needs above her own. Her life was a gift to so many people that now feel the gaping emptiness with her absence. Most importantly, Lisa loved her Savior Jesus Christ, and today we rejoice in the fact that she is in glory beside Him. She was constantly encouraging others to press ahead in their faith and cling to the hope Jesus offers. Left behind to mourn her loss and celebrate her life is her loving husband Elby Ginkel, her adored daughter Michaella Ratliff, father Thomas A. Vecchi, brothers and sisters Denise Waack, Steve (Jan) Vecchi, Dawn (Ron) Dutton, Tom (Jeanne) Vecchi and John Vecchi. Step Sons Sam and Chase Ginkel. Steve Ratliff (father to Michaella) and family. Nieces and nephews Damien (Alona) McKnight, Kate Vecchi, Christina (Anthony) Lopez, Anthony (Erin) Vecchi, Joseph (Kylee) Vecchi, Cole Waack, Haley Waack, Tessa Volk-Vecchi, and Juliette Volk-Vecchi. Lisa is now united in heaven with her mother Jeanne Vecchi, brother Michael Vecchi, and grandparents John & Adele Vecchi and Clarence & Ethel Dugdale. Memorial Service Sept. 17th, Westwood Community Church, 3121 Westwood Dr., Excelsior, MN 55331. Visitation 10:00. Service 11:00. Celebration of life reception to immediately follow the service @ Hazeltine National Golf Club, 1900 Hazeltine Blvd., Chaska, MN 55318. In lieu of flowers please hug someone you love.
