Linda Mary Winters

Beloved grandma, mom, sister, & friend Linda Mary Winters (Hart) has reunited with her late husband Danny, just in time to watch the Masters from the best seats in the universe. Linda passed away quietly April 5, 2023 while engaged in one of her favorite pastimes, watching sports in her favorite chair. Born in October 1957, Linda was one of five children and she grew up in Fridley, Minnesota to a sporting family. Her father passed on to her his love of sports, she was an avid competitive swimmer and played many other sports as well. She married the love of her life, Danny Winters, at age 22 and they had two loving girls, Kristan and Jamie. Linda loved living at the lake house she and Danny built, spending time on their pontoon with friends and family, and attending as many of her grandson's sporting events as she could. Linda was proud of her 32-year career at Anderson Dahlen and she was loving her retirement these past three years. In her retirement she attended every one of Aidan's games and was his number one fan, go Huskies! In her spare time, she shamelessly spoiled her grand-puppies Zeke and Olee, and spent countless hours playing games with her daughters, family, and friends. She was more than a mom and grandma, she was our family's best friend, she will be forever missed. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Danny Lee Winters, parents Frank and Teresa Hart, brother Frankie Hart, father-in-law Don Winters, and mother-in-law Phyllis Winters. Linda is survived by her daughters Kristan Winters (Chad Roberts), Jamie Winters (Joe Thackeray), grandson Aidan Winters-Boynton, sister Debbie McCann (Bob), brother Craig Hart (Sandy), brother Mark Hart (Suzanne), brother-in-law Jim Winters, brother-in-law Dave Winters (Lynne), and many more family and friends. A memorial service is being held at the Washburn - McReavy Seman Coon Rapids Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd., Coon Rapids, MN 55433 on Friday, April 14. Visitation starts at 10 am, a service will begin at 11 am, and lunch will be served next door at the Coon Rapids VFW Post 9625 (1919 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW) at Noon. In keeping with Linda's wishes, the family requests that attendees dress informally in sports attire/themed clothing.
