Lauralee Anne (McLaughlin) Lindeland

Lindeland, Lauralee Anne (McLaughlin) Age 79 of Edina, MN, found peace Sunday, October 22, 2017, passing, surrounded by family, after a series of medical problems. Upbeat throughout her life until the end, she will be remembered for her kind, easy-going, and loving manner that put everyone at ease, and for her good sense of humor. She humbly excelled at all she endeavored and was a joy and inspiration to all who knew her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was the glue that held everything together, and she is deeply missed. Lauralee was born April 25, 1938 in Lewistown, MT to Virgil Lee and Ruth Lehman McLaughlin. She grew up in the small Montana town and graduated from Fergus County High School in 1956. Soon afterwards, she moved to Minneapolis, MN to pursue her studies in nursing. There she met Dr. Arthur T. Lindeland and they married and raised 3 children, Mike, Karen, and David. They lost a little girl, Julie Anne, to illness at 2 months, but carried her in their hearts always. After devoting herself fully to her family, Lauralee returned to Hennepin County Medical Center as a bright, dedicated, and compassionate nurse from 1988- 2003. She was loved and esteemed by patients and colleagues. She loved singing, playing the piano, and tennis, and keeping a warm and cozy home. Preceded in death by her father, Lee McLaughlin, mother, Ruth (Vern) Edwards, and infant daughter, Julie Anne Lindeland. Lauralee is survived by Dr. Arthur T. Lindeland (Mary Ann Becker); children Mike, Karen (Markus Uhl), and David, stepdaughter Dr. Betsy Lindeland; grandchildren Michael Jr. (Cat), Maia, Connor, Jeffery, Caytlin, and Olyvia; siblings Marge Sherman, Terry (Barb) McLaughlin, Linda (Dale) Johnson, and Bob Edwards (Randy Larsen); other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 1st at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55408 (612) 822-2171. Visitation at 1:30 PM.
