Dunham, Larry Allen Larry Allen Dunham, 78, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024. Born on March 1, 1946, to Glenn and Sylvia Dunham. Larry grew up in the small farm towns of Madison and Dawson, Minnesota and Waterloo, Iowa, and the bigger cities of Minneapolis and Bloomington, Minnesota alongside his siblings Jerry, Diane, Bruce, Glenn, and James. Larry graduated from Bloomington High School in 1964 and pursued his passion for history at the University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. While in college, he enlisted into the United States Air Force but was able to complete his degree before beginning four years of dedicated service. Following his time in the Air Force, Larry found his calling in human resources, where he discovered great joy in helping others find meaningful and fulfilling careers. A man of deep faith and unwavering service, Larry spent his later years guiding others to build and strengthen their faith and find purpose in life. Most recently at Saint Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, Larry led the Missions and Outreach Committee. Larry will be remembered for his joyous spirit, quick wit, humor, and his ability to lift up those around him. He was a devoted husband, father, and Papou, who radiated love and warmth to those around him. His most preferred and cherished names were Papou and Dad. His grandchildren describe him as a Papou who always showed up for them with a smile that could light up the whole world. His children share that he was always striving to be a better man, and they are proud to call him their father. Larry found the love of his life in his wife, Ina, and she sure did love him greatly as he did her. Those who knew him best know that he was a man of great faith and a believer in the greater good. Larry is survived by his adoring wife of 25 years, Ina; his sons, Judd and Jake (Heather); and his daughter, Jo. He leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Grand (12), Carver (10), and Maximus (4). He was predeceased by his parents, Glenn and Sylvia; his brother, Jerry; and his sister-in-law, Vicky. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, December 19th, with Trisagion Service at 5:30 p.m. at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 West 50th Street, Edina., Minnesota. A funeral service to celebrate Larry's life will be held on December 20th at 11 am with visitation starting at 10 am at Saint Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, 3450 Irving Avenue S., Mpls. Interment at Fort Snelling December 23rd at 10 am. Larry's legacy of love, faith, and service will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
