Kenneth Randall Wild

Wild, Kenneth Randall Age 64, of Crystal, MN, passed peacefully from this earth after an heroic battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, surrounded by many who love him. Ken was born in Texas on May 31, 1951 to Thomas J. and Shirley M. Wild. He spent his early years in North Dakota and later moved to the Minneapolis area, settling in Crystal, MN where he resided for the remainder of his life. He was a member of The Carpenter's Union and a proud member of the MN Streetrod Assn. Ken was a meticulous finish carpenter who retired in 2012, but never hung up his tool belt. Many found that a visit from Ken often included his volunteering to remodel your home or fix something that didn't quite work properly. Ken will forever be remembered by all who knew him for his quiet, modest, humble generosity, for always insisting that it was his turn to get the check for the whole table, and for the immense pride he had in his children and grandchildren. He was a buoyer of spirits and a true, bell-ringing champion of both individuals and professionals whose qualities impressed him. Ken was preceeded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Wild (father), Greg Wild (brother), Robert & Jane Taft (father & mother-in-law), and Jon Taft (nephew). Ken's surviving family members include Mother, Shirley Wild (E. Grand Forks, MN); Wife, Anne Taft Wild (Minneapolis, MN); Daughter, Stacy Lawler (Kurt) (Quakertown, PA); Son, Erick Taft (Minneapolis, MN); Brother, Joseph Wild (Becky) (Bloomington, MN); Sisters Wendy Wild (Grand Forks, ND) and Geneva Hjelmen (Dan) (Bismarck, ND), Grandchildren Rylee, Reagan, and Ryan Lawler; Brothers-in-law, Ed Taft (Gail) and Mike Taft (Linda); Sisters-in-law, Beth O'Brien, Mary Salisbury, Katy Schulz (Jim) and Eileen Kennedy; numerous nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Glenhaven Chapel, 5125 W. Broadway, Crystal, MN and on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Greg Norman Funeral Home, 2950 S. Washington St, Grand Forks, ND.
