Kenneth William Larson

Larson, Kenneth William age 97, died peacefully surrounded by family on October 10, 2022. Ken was born on May 31st, 1925 in South Minneapolis. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and a World War II Veteran who served in the South Pacific as a Pharmacist's Mate, Second Class in the Navy. In 1947, Ken married Beatrice Ness at Minnehaha Lutheran Church. Together they established a home and raised their family in Plymouth. Ken and his father-in-law (best friend) Carl O. Ness worked together as "Ness and Larson Floor Sanding". Ken was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and had served in leadership in the Lutheran Church for many years. His Love for Life was filled with fishing, golfing, playing softball, camping and travel with friends, Plymouth Lion's Club, singing in Plymouth Rockers and church choir, Sunday School Teacher, leader of Bible study and the Grief group unofficial hugger. Ken now rests from this life in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ken was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice, parents Axel and Ellen Larson, brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Milly Larson, sister Ethel Larson, in-laws Carl and Nellie Ness, daughter Barbara Anderson and grandson Matthew Larson. Ken is survived by sons William (Joyce) Larson and Tom (Debbie) Larson, daughters Kristine (Kevin) Johnson and Ann (Larry) Fowler and son-in-law Scott Anderson. Grandchildren: Rebecca (Phil) Kersey, Symeon Larson, Krista (Matt Thielman) Larson, Jenna (Greg) Viland, Steven (Andie) Larson, Jami (Matt) Reeve, Lori Anderson, Karl (Jill) Anderson, Kevin (Allie) Johnson, Kristofer (Amy) Johnson, Kenny (Michelle) Johnson, Kaari (Will) Haus, Kristian (Vivian) Johnson, Joshua (Amanda) Fowler, Britta (Scott) Thompson and Micah Fowler. Great-grandchildren: John, Michael, Malachi, Alaura, Gwen, Xander, Owen, Jack, Evelyn, Violet, Greyson, Hazel, Jordan (Nick), Morgan, Will, James, Anna, Karlee, Rosemary, Bennett, Isabelle, Levi, Eden, Cailyn, Luke, Charlotte, Freya, Joey, Kazuo, Adeline, Arthur, Elijah and Caleb. Great-great-grandchildren: Savannah, Carson and Sophia. Ken has left a legacy of Faith, Love and Family. Ken's Celebration of Life will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Plymouth, MN at 10 am, November 1st. Visitation at 9 am with 1 pm Interment at Fort Snelling Cemetery. Memorials: Doctors Without Borders or Feed My Starving Children.
