Jung Sook 'Dottie' Haw

Haw, Jung Sook "Dottie" July 5, 1936 - March 12, 2015 Our Beautiful and Lovely wife, mother and grandmother "Dottie" has gone home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Devoted wife to Thomas, mother to Dorothy and Patty, grandmother to Jaymi and Joseph. Her son-in-law Lu will always remember her affectionate name for him "Buddie". She was also mom to two bichons, Sam and Timmy, she always provided them with gourmet meals. Jung Sook "Dottie" was born in Suwon, South Korea. She survived the Korean War as a young girl and came to the States with husband Tom in 1959. Together they set up a home in Maryland. Their family moved to Minnesota in 1977, as Tom went to work for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Until the desert called in 1989 and she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, There Dottie single handedly landscaped their lawn and garden to the amazement of the neighborhood. Palm trees, rose bushes, olive trees, Italian cypress trees galore and a wide variety of flowers graced their home. The final move back to Minnesota happened in 2004. Dottie possessed many talents: fabulous cook of great variety - from fluffy pancakes, to marinated steak to her special strawberry cake, a talented and popular beautician, dedicated nurses aide, a master landscaper (as previously noted) and just recently acquired the skill of artistic painter and even had her oil painting published on a card. She loved music and dancing! Her laughter was contagious and let's not forget how she loved babies. Dottie was a born again Christian and loved the Lord. Dottie's personality was vibrant and exciting to be around. She made friends wherever she went. Known for her energetic spirit and beautiful beaming smile and eye for beauty in her home and appearance, (She loved to dress up.) Dottie and Tom were a committed couple for 57 years, raising their daughters and to instill in them manners, respect and direction with pride. She accomplished so much in her lifetime! Now heavens gates have opened to welcome her home. She will be reunited with so many loved ones to live in Glory. We will join her embrace again and in the meantime we remember her with love, she will always be "our Sunshine". We will have a memorial service at Victory Baptist Church, 13560 63rd Avenue North, Maple Grove, MN, on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at 12:30, following church services. Refreshments will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in her memory to Guardian Angels Care Center, Elk River, Minnesota. Our deepest gratitude goes to the caregivers at Guardian Angels.
