Dawes, Judith Louise "Judy" age 79, of Roseville passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 3, 2022. Graduated from Monroe HS in St. Paul Long Standing member of League of Catholic Women Belonged to: St Odilia CCW and Capital Ski Club Girl Scout and Camp Fire Girl Leader Preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Virginia Linn; brothers, Herbert and Jerry Linn Survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, John "Jack" Children: Tracy (Matthew) Brodie of PA Kelly Dawes (Tim Clements) of MT Grandchildren: Sean and Caitlyn Brodie, Sella and Otylia Clements Sisters: Sandy Ryan, Donna (Lloyd) Stevens Brothers: John (Terri) Linn, Tom Linn Sister-in-law: MaryJo Linn Brother-In-Law: Clinton II (Kathy) Dawes, David (Karen) Dawes, Tom (Jeannine) Dawes And many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Judy was the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that all will remember as a special individual whose light will continue to guide them. She touched the lives of many over the years, both locally and during her travels (domestically and internationally) with Jack, family and friends. Always one to strike up a conversation with someone new, Judy was known for her optimistic, fun loving and outgoing personality that made everyone know that they were truly valued and important to her. She was passionate and enjoyed many activities including snow skiing, skating, dancing, swimming, playing cards and enjoying the outdoors by cycling and walking. Judy always believed in putting others first and volunteered for many organizations, putting these beliefs into practice by dedicating innumerable hours to these pursuits. A shining example of how we can live our lives, Judy was a role model to all that knew her and a confidant for family and friends. While she will be profoundly missed by all, her principles and legacy will live on. A Christian celebration of Judy's life will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 3495 N. Victoria Street, Shoreview. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the Mass. There will be a luncheon reception following the Mass. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association
