Nguyen, Jon D. Our beloved Jon, passed away peacefully on July 23rd, 2024. He was surrounded in love and comfort by his devoted and loving wife, Mao and family. Preceded in death by his loving Father: Thuong V. Nguyen along with his brothers: Phu Nguyen and Thinh Nguyen and sisters: Le Thu Nguyen and Doan Nguyen. Jon had an amazing old soul that touched everyone's life with his bright light, wisdom and gentle golden heart. Jon had the ability to connect with others personally through his professional work as an expert Mechanic and serving his clients throughout the greater Twin Cities. He loved listening to Vietnamese folksongs and drinking bubble tea with the kids. On every interaction Jon had, he would always exude the warmest smile, kindness, thoughtfulness and deepest empathy. His giant hands and arms were always open to you! He was a soft-spoken gentle giant. His actions, authentic self and sense of humor spoke great volume on the way he treated others and viewed life. He lived the best life possible and made every moment memorable despite all the challenges he encountered in his life. Everyone migrated to Jon, especially all his nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, neighbor's kids, random kids, he was the best "fun and cool", Uncle Jon! He loved to spoil everyone he loved and surprising them with a gift or snack they loved. He was known as the "Snack King"! Jon's greatest joy in life was his amazing and loving wife, Mao of fourteen years. Their loving marriage, spiritual connection and devotion for each other spans many lifetimes. We should all be fortunate to experience a deep love like theirs in our lifetime. They were soulmates here on earth and will continue to do so with our Heavenly Father in the next lifetime. Jon's connection with mom was pure love. He was her baby boy! No matter what he was doing or how he was feeling, he would call her every day to see if she had eaten. He would always ask her, "Mom, are you craving anything...do you need me to buy anything for you?" He always made sure he gave her his "First Catch" of everything in life. They will always be one together. Jon's love for his family and friends was unconditional and unmeasurable. Whether you were biologically related or not, once you're in the circle, you're stuck for life! Being the baby of the family, he was truly adored by mom and his siblings. He was an outdoorsman so loved to go fishing, camping and hunting with his brothers and nephews. On an emotional and sensitive level, he connected with his sisters and nieces a/k/a "his girls" through shopping, food adventures and watching Korean drama. Oops! The secret is out! We love you and will miss you Jonny Boy! Jon's courageous strength, resilience and life lessons will forever be imprinted in our hearts and soul. We know he would want us to continue to love and live life to the fullest. We love you our Gentle Giant! Jon is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 14 years, Mao Nguyen, mother, Hien Nguyen, brothers; The Nguyen, Luat (Hang) Nguyen, Peter Nguyen and Thanh Nguyen. Sisters; Lan (Mui) Nguyen, Theresa (Norm) Dahl, Sue (Thanh) Nguyen, Kim (Ben) Nguyen Davis and Elise (Miguel) Reinoso. In-laws; Shoua Xiong, Hli Xiong, Xang Xiong, Nou Chong, Youa Pao, X. Kim, Yia, Plua, Bla Toua, WaFue, Pafoua, Sou and Peter. Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
