John Allen Muenzhuber

Dr. John Allen (Jack) Muenzhuber died peacefully on July 31, 2020 at Sunrise of Edina in Edina, Minnesota. He was 82. He is the son of the late John A. and Dorothy P. Muenzhuber, Willmar, Minnesota. Preceded in death by sister Judy (Vinson). Jack is survived by his awesome children and grandchildren who he loved and enjoyed very much. He felt great pride for each of them: Mark T. (Karen) (Sarah and Megan) Chanhassen, MN; John B. (Corey and Kyle (Dalee)) Rogers, MN; Paul A. (Jeannie) Becker, MN: Jane (Drew, Emily and Anna) Minneapolis, MN; and Kurt R. (Satomi) Kobe, Japan. Jack is also survived by his loving sister Mary Badenoch (Steve) Minnetrista, MN and by in-laws, nieces and nephews and a host of longtime friends. Jack was born in Long Prairie, Minnesota. He moved to Willmar, Minnesota and attended high school there. He was very active in sports and other activities. He graduated from Willmar High School in 1956. He attended St. John's University. He married Judy (Mittelstadt), enrolled in dental school and they had their first three children: Mark, John and Paul. After Jack graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, they moved to Tacoma, Washington. At nearby Fort Lewis Army base, Jack served as a dentist there and was a happy, active, dedicated military man. Children four and five, Jane and Kurt were born there. After 3 years of military service, the family returned to St. Cloud, Minnesota where Jack had a private practice for several years. He was very well liked and known as an excellent dentist. He left private practice to work as one of the dentists at the St. Cloud Reformatory. In his later retirement, he lived in Palm Springs and Loma Linda, California for a while, then moved to Scottsdale and then Phoenix, Arizona. While living away from MN he had the pleasure of happy friendships with David and Julie. Jack moved home May 2019 for his last living days to be close to his family. A “COVID” private family visitation and Catholic memorial service was held at Washburn-McReavy Nokomis Park Chapel,1838 East Minnehaha Parkway, Minneapolis, MN on August 14th, 2020.
