Jeanne Arlene Hofer

Jeanne Arlene Hofer (90) passed away peacefully October 18, 2023 in her home of 35 years with the assistance of Hospice after a brief battle with cancer. Jeanne was surrounded by her husband Jack of 66 years, and their 4 children; Darian (Lora), Joellyn (John), Susan (Steve), and A.J. (Julie). Jeanne was born in Lake Park, Iowa June 4,1933 to Warren (Butch) and Blanch Shriner. Jeanne predeceased by her one sister, Betty Lee. (Her school years were in Leeds a small suburb of Sioux City and graduated in 1952.) Early in her adult years Jeanne went to work for the Federal Grain inspection in Sioux City, Iowa where she met Jack. They were married September 21st 1957 in Duluth Minnesota, where they welcomed their first two children, Darian and Joellyn. Jack was transferred to Omaha, Nebraska in 1968, they completed their family with Susan and Alan (A.J.) After another transfer in 1978 the family moved to Texas City, Texas a suburb of Galveston. All their children finished their formative school years in the LaMarque school district. Jeanne started up her own career again while living in Texas, Jeanne went to work for American National Insurance in 1981. She was able to stay with the company when Jack had his final transfer to Minneapolis suburbs (New Hope) in 1987. This was as close as they could get back to Duluth, as that was always their favorite place. Jeanne retired from American National in 1995, after having a stroke and brain aneurism. Jeanne and Jack traveled as much as they could, Jeanne had a passion to maintain a connection to all her extend family, she visited them as much as she could. Jeanne and Jack have been blessed with 6 Grandchildren (Joellyn) Seth, Sabrina, Josephine, (Susan) Chyanna, (A.J.) Skylar, Willow. As well as 6 Great grandchildren (Seth) Michaell, Ashlynn, and Vera. (Sabrina) Quintion, Kamiya and Jarvis. The family will have a celebration of Jeanne's life on November 12th 2023, at Spirit of Hope Church in Golden Valley, Minnesota, Visitation at 12, service 1 pm. Where they have been members since 1987. All our welcomed to attend, Luncheon to follow.
