Jason Andrew Remme

Jason Remme. Born December 1, 1970. Unexpectedly passed on February 7, 2024 due to a Pulmonary Embolism at the age of 53. Jason was the son of Doug & Sue Remme and big brother to Stephanie Raskin. Jason was a Downs Syndrome Child but never let that deter him living his best life. Jason's love of music also made him an exceptional dancer. Jason is always the first one on the floor ready to dance. He loved riding his bike through the neighborhood in his younger years and everyone on the block knew him as he greeted them with a smile & a wave. He attended Camp Friendship every summer, he enjoyed rock climbing, campfires, crafts and of course danced. He met many new friends at camp and has many pictures for memories. He grew up in Bloomington and Graduated from John F. Kennedy Sr High in 1992. He played basketball, was on a bowling league, ran many races in track and Jason lettered in Softball and Floor Hockey. He also competed in Special Olympics every year. He went to prom with 2 other couples, they took a Limo downtown and had a blast. He worked at Holiday gas station for 7 years. Started out working at the Taco Bell inside Holiday-when Taco Bell closed down, Holiday kept him on as he did a great job. His Farm Island Lake Family was so special to him. So many wonderful people who treated Jason as their own child. He loved the pizzas by the fires, music rides with Orpha, Gerry always made sure Jason was included. There were many events held at Farm Island Lake, Pig Roasts, Bradley Board Tournaments, Annual Fishing Contest with potluck and hilarious skits. there was always a reason for a party and more food-Jason had so much fun at the lake. Survived by his mother Susan, sister Stephanie Raskin, nieces Alexis (A.J.), Brooke & Cortney Raskin. Uncles Curt (Vicki) Remme, Jeff (Debra) Remme, Dean Remme, Jon (Lisa) Remme. Aunts Karen Hagen and Nancy (Tom) Gatz, and many cousins. His sweet smile will be missed. A special thanks to Dr. Erik Veum for the TLC he gave to Jason. A memorial service will be held in his honor on 2/22/24 at 1pm with a visitation for 1 hour prior at Washburn-McReavy Bloomington Chapel. An evening visitation will also be held on 2/21/24 from 4-7pm. Graveside service immediately following at Bloomington Cemetery,10340 Lyndale Ave S, with a celebration of life luncheon at Evert McClay VFW post 1296-311 W. 84th St. Blmgtn.
