Janet "Janny" Moses With great love and a deep sense of peace, we say goodbye to Janny Moses, 94, of St. Paul, MN - beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished friend - who went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2026. She was born Janet Ione Dahlstrom on July 17, 1931, in St. Paul, MN to Linden and Ione (nee Wright) Dahlstrom. She grew up in Highland Park and graduated from St. Paul Central High School in 1949. She attended the University of Minnesota, where she earned her B.A. in education and served as president of Kappa Kappa Gamma. On November 8, 1953, she married the love of her life, Richard ("Dick") Moses. She taught briefly before dedicating herself to raising her family. Janny lived a full and vibrant life. Her warmth, humor, and steady presence, shaped those who knew and loved her. She loved tennis, piano, skiing and was a voracious reader. She sang for decades in the choir at Incarnation Lutheran Church and with the Larks. She found joy in the outdoors, in the humor of P.G. Wodehouse, and in her daily walks. A wonderful cook and gracious host, she loved to entertain and travel, and she gave generously of her time in service to others. Her sharp wit stayed with her until the end. She was the head and the heart of the Fine Family and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Kotovic (Charles) and Emily Wiegering (Christopher); and her grandchildren Hannah, Will, Isabela, Gustavo and Peter; and great grandchildren Allen and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard ("Dick") Moses; her daughter Sally; her brother Linden; and her nephew Lindy. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Sunrise of Edina who have been exceedingly kind and attentive these past two years and to the wonderful women of Brighton Hospice for their care and warmth and friendship these last months. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 13 beginning with the visitation at 10 and the service at 11 at Incarnation Lutheran Church on 4880 Hodgson Road, St. Paul.
