Jack Leroy Powers Age 68, of Blaine, Minnesota, passed away on March 26, 2024. Born on December 19, 1955, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Jack was a cherished member of the community and a proud U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 1975 to 1976. Following his service, he embarked on a fulfilling career with the U.S. Postal Service in St. Paul, MN, dedicating 25 years to the organization before enjoying a decade driving for Priority Courier Experts in Vadnais Heights, MN. In his later years, Jack embraced various opportunities until his retirement in 2023. Jack's life was a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for exploration, evident in his hobbies that included fishing, boating, camping, traveling, and taking cruises. His zest for life led him to reside in several states, cherishing the warm climates of Texas, California, and Nevada. An animal lover at heart, Jack always had a dog and a cat by his side, cherishing the companionship and joy they brought into his life. Family was the cornerstone of Jack's life, and he leaves behind a legacy through his five sons, Jason (Dawn), Jesse (Alicia), Jeremy (Morgan), Justin, and Joshua, whose achievements filled him with immense pride. His life was further enriched by his grandchildren, Daniel, Allison, Alexander, Jordan, Brandon, Lucas, Evan, and Owen. Jack also shared a close bond with his siblings, Jill (Joe) Biljan, Candy (Paul) Hoffmann, Terri Perron, Gail Powers, Leonard (Diana) Patraw, Rochelle (Rick) Hendren, and Cindy (Doug) Murphy. Additionally, his life was significantly shaped by his 31 years with Heidi Powers, with whom he shared a deep and enduring connection. Predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Gloria (Krech) and Eugene Teteak, his father and stepmother, Leroy and Mary Patraw, and his brother-in-law, Michael Perron, Jack's legacy is one of devotion, service, and love. A celebration of Jack's life will be held at Washburn-McReavy, located at 515 Hwy 96 W in Shoreview, MN, on April 2nd, with visitation beginning at 5:30 pm and memorial services at 6:30 pm. Interment Wednesday, April 3rd at 10:30 AM (meet in Assembley Lane #2 at 10:15 AM) at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery; 7601 34th Avenue S., Minneapolis, MN. Jack Leroy Powers will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and the memories he created will forever live in the hearts of his loved ones.
