Isabel Servotte Reynolds

Isabel Ann Servotte Reynolds, 94, passed away peacefully December 24, 2024. Isabel leaves behind a beautiful legacy of gratitude and love for her large and devoted family. Throughout her long and joyful life, she was adored by family and friends for her selflessness, patience and caring nature. Isabel was born June 24, 1930, the oldest child of William and Sherry (nee Agnes Sherman) Servotte in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She graduated from Saint Joseph's Academy in Green Bay in 1948, and Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois in 1952 with an Economics degree. After graduation, Isabel worked at the radio station WJPG in Green Bay, writing copy and jingles. In 1954, Isabel married her college sweetheart and the love of her life, James F. Reynolds and moved to Philadelphia, where they joyfully began their family, welcoming the first two of their eight children while Jim was attending the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. Isabel and Jim's growing family lived in St. Paul and Rochester, Minnesota, South Hadley, Massachusetts, Green Bay, Wisconsin, and settled in Edina, Minnesota in 1966 for their remaining years. Isabel was a long time, active member of St. Patrick's Church of Edina, where she was involved with the religious education program, Loaves and Fishes, and was a Eucharistic minister. Spirituality and community service were highly important to her, with a strong commitment to helping the less fortunate. With her Wisconsin roots, Isabel instilled in her children, grandchildren, and great-children a deep love of her beloved Door County, Wisconsin. It brought her great joy to see the following generations loving this special place as much as she did. Seeing the Trillium flowers bloom each spring was a cherished time, along with the many family gatherings that framed her life there. As an avid and deeply knowledgeable sports fan, Isabel closely followed her favorite teams, the Green Bay Packers, Notre Dame, and the Minnesota Twins, and their ups and downs over the years. She also loved playing bridge, and endless competitive solitaire games with her children and grandchildren. She was a skilled knitter, and her many Christmas stockings are cherished by all. Isabel was known far and wide for her love of chocolate and her carefully crafted mug of cocoa she had for breakfast each morning. She is preceded in death by James, her husband of 69 years, her parents, William and Sherry, her brother, John Servotte, and her sister Mary Servotte Condon. She is survived by her children, Kevin (Laurie Kutchins) Reynolds, Anne (Dan) DePrey, Mark (Dawn Simone) Reynolds, Thomas (Talia Nadir) Reynolds, Elizabeth (William) Santulli, Christopher Reynolds, Mary Reynolds, and Sarah (Paul) Brookner, her grandchildren, Weston Reynolds, Ava Reynolds, Nicholas DePrey, Madelyn (Shuba Fikru) DePrey, Victoria (Philip Berge) DePrey, Ben Reynolds, Gabriel Reynolds, Aidan Reynolds, Kendall (Patrick) Maloney, Samantha (Robb) Hutchins, Peter (Meghan) Santulli, Matthew (Mollye) Santulli, Anna Santulli, Andrew Reynolds, Delaney Reynolds, Ethan Brookner, and Sean Brookner; and her great-grandchildren Madeline, William, Maeve, Molly, Henry, Jack, and Ruby. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Charles Condon, sister-in-law, Ann Servotte, niece Nicole Condon Hayes, and nephews Michael Servotte and Blake Condon. Much gratitude to the wonderful staff at Friendship Village that showered their "Izzy" with love, and to the caring staff at Park Nicollet Hospice. A private family funeral will be held to celebrate her long and joyful life. Memorials may be made to the Friendship Village Bloomington Team Member Appreciation Fund, 8100 Highwood Drive, Bloomington, MN 55438.
