HOLLY SWANSON STAPEL Beloved Holly Swanson Stapel passed away at home on December 8th 2022, surrounded by her family. Holly was born April 1st, 1958 in Minneapolis. She was raised in Hopkins by her loving parents Gordon Swanson and Beverly Swanson alongside siblings Kirk Swanson, Vickie Vogel, and Sherrie Swanson. Holly is survived by her husband Steve, daughters Ashley (Kit) Leary and Brittney Frankenberg, and grandchildren Grayson Leary (10), Hudson Leary (7), Taylor Leary (7), Parker Frankenberg (5), and Evalyn Frankenberg (2). Holly touched so many lives with her unconditional love, compassion, and wisdom. Steve was blessed with 44 years of marriage to Holly. She was born to be a mother and was such an inspiration to her daughters through her love, faith, and support. Holly was the matriarch of her family with so many benefiting from her love, advice and console. She was a loyal and kind friend to so many. Holly loved family time and gatherings. Holly, Steve, the girls and grandkids cherished spending time together at the family cabin. She enjoyed hosting large family gatherings and holidays at the cabin. Holly, Steve, Brit, and Ashley enjoyed traveling together vacationing in Europe, Hawaii, Disneyworld and Florida. Holly thanked God daily for her life and her family. Holly was a very accomplished businesswoman, rising to become a Vice President of Sales. She received many achievement awards, ran entire divisions of companies, and even represented her company on the Today show. Holly also volunteered with many leadership roles, serving on boards and as president of the Network of Executive Women. But she called her role as grandma, "the best job ever", and family was the center of her life. Holly was an amazing, strong, and driven woman. She fought through extreme pain for 7 years without complaint because it meant more time with her cherished family. Knowing she was at the end of her life, she said to her daughters, "It's ok, God has blessed me with a great, long life." Her family is comforted in the knowledge that she is in Heaven for eternity, free from pain and suffering, and that they will be reunited with her again someday. Her family feels blessed with countless memories of life and extraordinary times together. Holly's Celebration of Life will be at 11am on Thursday, January 5th at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina, Minnesota.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a local charity.
