My mother, Hawah M. Dixon, was a remarkable and dedicated advocate for humanity. She exceeded and reached the height of excellence with her every action towards stewardship, exemplifying the responsibility of service to others. She passed away peacefully on March 08, 2024. Throughout her distinguished life as a servant to others, Hawah made significant contributions to society and everyone she met, leaving a legacy of unity in family, love, compassion, kindness, and faith in God. Hawah M. Dixon was born and raised in Liberia, where she discovered her compelling love for God and family early in her life. She was unstoppable in spreading the word of God with her family and loved ones. Her unwavering love allowed her to put her faith in her higher power no matter what she faced. I believe that she earned a badge of honor for her loyalty to the words of God because she exceeded and demonstrated exceptional love and dedication in her every action as a human being. She exhibited exceptional abilities to connect the human dots regardless of who she met. Everyone who met her would share the same or similar sentiments about her humility to humanity. Hawah's commitment to serving others, regardless of her human status, led her to a deeper understanding of togetherness for family and impacted those she met. Hawah's love for God and her family was the guiding light to her every action. During her life, she dedicated her time to serving others. Her life was that of a transformational initiative in many ways that changed and enhanced her life and that of her loved ones. She engaged with humanity and promoted gestures that facilitated peace, love, and inclusion. Hawah was known for her warmth, humility, generosity, and words of wisdom. She believed in empowering others to reach their full potential and dedicated her time to coaching and mentoring. Hawah's impact extended far beyond her family, as she actively contributed to her community and sometimes volunteered to help total strangers. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Hawah will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy will continue to inspire family and future generations to strive for excellence amongst family and friends through cohesiveness and connectivity to help make a difference in the world. Funeral Service and visitation will be held at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 3495 Victoria St N, Shoreview, on Friday, April 19, at 11:00 AM. Visitation, funeral service noon. Interment follows church service, Resurrection Cemetery, 2101 Lexington Ave. S, Mendota Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred in Hawah's name to the American Cancer Society Washburn-Mcreavy Funeral Chapel.com.
