Gregory John Ronchetto

Greg Ronchetto, 63, of Andover, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota, leaving behind a lifetime of service, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. Greg was born on December 26, 1962, in Waverly, Iowa. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for ten years, earning the rank of Sergeant. After his military service, he spent more than thirty years as an over-the-road truck driver, a career that reflected his dedication, independence, and strong work ethic. Greg had a sarcastic sense of humor that those who knew him came to appreciate and love. He enjoyed life's simple pleasures-grilling a great steak, fishing, camping, trips to the North Shore, cheering on the Minnesota Twins, and watching football. He was mechanically gifted and could often be found working on cars, always willing to lend a hand when something needed fixing. Greg loved to read and relax while listening to the blues, especially the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Of all the roles he held in life, being "Grandpa" was his favorite. Greg was a simple, kind man who often acted like he didn't care much for people, but those closest to him knew better. Beneath his dry wit and quiet nature was a generous heart. Whenever someone needed help, Greg was there without hesitation, expecting nothing in return. Greg is preceded in death by his parents, John Ronchetto and Jean Ronchetto, brother Stephen Ronchetto, and granddaughter Adalina Forsgren. He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Joseph (Jennifer) Ronchetto and Bradley Ronchetto (Chris Cusack); his beloved grandchildren, Gage and Colton; his loving companion of 27 years, Nancy Forsgren; Nancy's children, Carisa, Sara, Amanda, and Samantha; Nancy's 13 grandchildren; the mother of his sons, Rhonda (Mark) Kalal; his stepmother of more than 50 years, Patricia Ronchetto; and many cousins and extended relatives in Missouri and the Chicago area. Greg's life was defined not by the miles he traveled, but by the lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of service, loyalty, quiet generosity, and unconditional love for his family. Those who knew him will miss his quick wit, his dependable nature, and the reassuring comfort of knowing he was always there when they needed him. A private internment for immediate family will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
