In Loving Memory of Gloria Wheelock August 30, 1952 - March 7, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria Wheelock on March 7, 2025. Born on August 30, 1952, Gloria brought joy and warmth to the lives of those around her. Gloria graduated from South High School in 1971, where she began building the foundation for a life filled with friendship, kindness, and accomplishment. In her younger years, she had a passion for outdoor adventures, finding happiness in camping and swimming-activities that reflected her adventurous spirit. In 1991, Gloria married the love of her life, Edward ("Guy") Wheelock, and together they built a beautiful life in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Their partnership was one of love, care, and shared joy. Gloria had a zest for life that was evident in her hobbies, which included going to the movies, dining out, and enjoying the music of her favorite country group, Alabama. She found great joy in spending time with her beloved nieces and nephews, always making them feel cherished and supported. Among them, Gloria shared a close and special bond with her niece Jessica. The two loved spending time together-whether it was visiting the State Fair, splashing in the wave pool, or simply sharing heartfelt conversations. Their relationship was filled with laughter, love, and treasured memories. Gloria had a long and distinguished career as a sterile technician, dedicating many years of service to both the University of Minnesota and the VA. Her commitment to her work and her care for others was evident in everything she did, leaving a lasting impact on those she worked with and served. She is preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine Keppel and Ray Allen Keppel; siblings Roberta Hill, Linda Ehler, and Ricky Keppel. Gloria is survived by her brother Geary Keppel and her sister Joyce Englund, who will carry forward her legacy and love. Gloria was known for her kind and loving nature and her unwavering willingness to help those in need. Her generosity and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will remain etched in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
