Gloria Jane (Everson) Wait 11/11/51 - 08/21/22 Gloria Jane Wait, 70, was born on November 11,1951 in Paynesville, MN. She passed away after a courageous battle with leukemia with her husband by her side. Gloria was the youngest child of five and grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota. After graduating high school, she attended nursing school in Willmar and became a registered nurse. She had been working as a nurse at The Waters (formerly The Colony) in Eden Prairie up until last year. She was a devoted caregiver who liked nursing in an assisted living environment where she could build relationships with residents and their families. She always put other people first. Upon graduating high school, Gloria married the love of her life, Larry Wait. They were married for 51 years. They lived in Miami and Jacksonville, Florida, where they had their children, and moved back to Minnesota in 1985 to be closer to family. Over the years, they have enjoyed many wonderful travel experiences both in the US and abroad. They also enjoyed traveling back and forth to their home in Naples FL. As she told Larry the day before she passed "We've had a good run". Gloria will be remembered for being the kindest and most thoughtful of others. She was the master of sending greeting cards and never missed a birthday or anniversary. She was a fantastic cook and hosted many gatherings at their home over the years. She was also the family photographer capturing the fun moments at these events. What was important to Gloria were her relationships with others, the experiences she had with her loved ones, and her ability to acknowledge the beauty in others. While she has been battling cancer for over a year, her courage and positive attitude throughout this journey was remarkable. Gloria is welcomed into heaven by her son, Aaron; sister, Lenore; parents, Alma & Ludvig; and in-laws Janet & Floyd Wait. She is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Nathan; daughter-in-law, Jill; grandchildren Kaleb, Austin, and Nora; her siblings Marian (Leonard) and Sharon (Mike) and Vernon. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Gathering of Loved Ones will take place with close family members at a later date.
