Felicity Jane (Lissy) Mathieu

Mathieu, Felicity Abby Jane (Lissy) Age 27 of Hartland, Minnesota tragically died Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Felicity (Lissy) was born October 13, 1984 in Mitchell, SD. With her family, she moved to Akita, Japan at age 5, attended Kawazoe Elementary School from Kindergarten through 4th grade and became fluent in Japanese. Felicity graduated from Prior Lake - Savage High School (MN) and went on to graduate from Normandale Community College. Following several years serving as a special education paraprofessional educator, she pursued a baccalaureate degree from Walden University and would have graduated this spring with specializations in non-profit management and women's studies. Felicity is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William F. Daley, and paternal grandparents Laurette B. and Raymond J. Mathieu. She is survived by her grandmother, Gladys H. Daley; mother, Sue Ann T. Daley-Mathieu; father, David J. Mathieu; brother, Benjamin J.R. Mathieu and family (wife Akiko and children Tynan Shin, Ayden Sho, and Yuna Felicity Mathieu); brother, Jessua J.W. Mathieu and wife Megumi Muramoto-Mathieu; uncles and aunts, Joe and Susan Daley, Patty Doherty, Clarence and Kathy Stender, Jim and Colleen Sanders; many cousins and other relatives. Felicity is also survived by her very special friend, Shawn Bollinger and family (Shawnna and Autumn); close childhood friends, Ayumi Nanao and Tara Guckeen; close friends, Annie Korzan and many childhood and adult friends in Japan, Montana, and Minnesota. Visitation will be held at the Washburn-McReavy Mortuary at 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins MN, Monday, Feb 6 from 5-8 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, Feb 7 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hopkins, 6 Interlachen Rd., Hopkins, MN beginning with visitation at 10 a.m, Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., followed by lunch in the church community room. Interment will be held at St. Margaret's Cemetery in Hopkins on Wednesday, Feb 8th.
