Fannie Rubis

Rubis, Fannie F. Age 89, of Roseville, formerly of Coon Rapids, died peacefully May 3 at Sunrise of Roseville. She is survived by son, Lonnie (Connie) Rubis; daughters, Vicki (Joe) Pung, Andrea (Dale) Arnold, Joy (Jim) Sovada, Marsha (Tom) Lehn, Jeanne (Ross) Edmundson; grandchildren, Jarret (Kristin) Rubis, Jason (Jennifer) Rubis, Jessie Brewer, Derek Rubis, Hans (Caroline) Pung, Jorn (Stacie) Pung, Willi Pung, Wade (Sharon) Arnold, Monica Arnold, Chris (Jennifer) Sovada, Steve (Carmen) Sovada, Mandy (Noel) Jabbour, Jeff Lehn, Mike Lehn, Emily Lehn, Krista (Tom) Bringley, Matthew Edmundson; great-grandchildren, Ali, Trent, Sydney, Isabella, Harrison, Lydia, Jack, Mason, Ryan, Landon, Kaylin, Abby, and Micah. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Andy (Lyle). Dancing to the music of Dorsey, Kaye and Miller was a favorite pastime. She was fond of reading books, especially poetry. Hours were spent working in her flower gardens and vegetable garden, then canning and freezing the fruits of her labor. She spent many hours sewing outfits for her daughters who would pick out patterns that were not always easy to make. She and Andy spent many summers at their cabin retreat on the Gunflint Trail. Her children and grandchildren have a treasure of memories of time spent at the cabin. She worked as a secretary at various times throughout her life. Her greatest love was being a wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. Family was most important to her. A few of her favorite activities were shopping, birthdays, picnics, church activities, school activities, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, all the graduations and weddings. She was a charter member of Olive Branch Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids. What a fabulous life she had. And now she is with Andy in Heaven, walking with Jesus on the streets of gold. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers. Funeral service Friday, May 11, 11AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 61 Mississippi St. NE Fridley, MN.
