Erin Marie Peterson

Erin M. Peterson of Bloomington passed away after a tragic accident on July 24, 2021 at age 13. Erin packed so much love and life into her thirteen years. She was beautiful, smart, thoughtful, witty, athletic, joyful, kind, and so loving. She was a perfect daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, and friend. Erin had a presence. She was a spark and a light for all who knew her. Erin loved school and excelled in her academics. Since she was a toddler, she was the family memory keeper. When in doubt about a name or date, you could just ask Erin. She could solve any math problem and dreamed of working for NASA. Erin was a voracious reader. She loved Percy Jackson books. Through her reading and studies she had already become an advocate for fairness and inclusiveness. She was able to articulate thoughts and ideas way beyond her years. Erin was thoughtful and sensitive to the needs of others. Along with being kind and caring, she had the ability to listen and make a difference. Erin always looked out for her brother, Nate. Erin was athletic, active, and on-the-go. She played soccer and defended like nobody else. She loved to fish with her Dad any season, all year long. She was active at her church. She skied. She laughed. She made others laugh. Erin loved family trips, especially going to the lake. She loved family get-togethers. She loved to talk. She loved her birthday. She loved fine cuisine, especially sushi. Quite simply, Erin loved life. Erin loved being with her many friends and teammates. She looked forward to each day she could play sports, hang out, and catch-up on whatever was new on her phone - scrolling, snapping, and sharing. Most of all, Erin loved being with her family and knowing how dearly she was loved. She gave the most wonderful greetings and hugs. Erin captured our hearts and souls and brought joy to all who knew her. We love you, our beautiful, sweet Erin. We always have. We always will. Our love for you will live forever in our memories and hearts.
