Eloise Jane Rust

Eloise Jane Rust, Age 92 of Minnetonka, passed away in her sleep on August 25, 2023. Eloise was born in Viroqua, WI on February 11, 1931 to Martin and Valda (Graham) Rusdal. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Loren Rust; older sister, Beverly Dettman, and twin sister, Elaine Parr. Eloise is survived by children, Daniel (Elizabeth) Rust of Crookston, MN; Rebecca Pribula of West Fargo, ND; Kevin (Michelle) Rust of Hudson, WI; Kathryn (Devin) Lundmark of Prior Lake, MN and Diane (Brent) Fester of Chanhassen, MN. Grandchildren: Jason Rust; Christopher (Carla) Pribula; Matthew Rust; Joseph (Christi) Pribula; Mitchell (Katie) Pribula; Jessica (Jason) Menge; Katherine Brody) Bockenstedt; Cori (Tyler) Kivel; Elise (Tim) Brazelton; Tara (Samuel Smokrovich) Lundmark; Jenna (Cameron) Bentrott; Kyle Rust; and Scott Rust Great Grandchildren: Ryan Pribula, Matthew Pribula, Gabriella Pribula, Eli Pribula, Noah Pribula, Erin Pribula, Evan Pribula, Elizabeth Menge, Henry Menge, Jace Pribula, Abigail Menge and Cooper Kivel. Eloise was raised on the family farm near Viroqua, WI. She attended Viroqua High School where she met Loren Rust. Following high school, she attended Vernon County Normal School where she earned her teaching certificate. Eloise and Loren were married on June 8, 1951. They enjoyed a loving marriage raising their 5 children in La Crosse, WI and Alexandria, MN before moving to their home in Minnetonka in 1970. Eloise enjoyed nature and cherished family time; especially with her grandchildren. She was active at All Saints Lutheran Church in Minnetonka for many, many years attending Bible studies, Women's circle and volunteering in the church office. Eloise was a 30 year cancer survivor of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Eloise had a very special lifelong bond with her identical twin sister, Elaine; their amazing connection often inexplicable to the rest of us. The family wishes to Thank the staff at The Glenn Minnetonka Garden Suites, especially head nurse, Christopher; as well as the staff of Park Nicollet Senior Medicine and Park Nicollet Hospice. A celebration of Eloise's life will be held at All Saint's Lutheran Church on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11:00a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to All Saint's Lutheran Church Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
