Elias Heinemann

Eli Heinemann of Hopkins, MN left this life for his eternal reward on October 2, 2025. Eli was born on April 9, 1931 to Jacob & Elizabeth (Heintz) Heinemann in Milwaukee, Wi. As a teenager, he would work summers as a laborer on farms in the beautiful Kettle Moraine region where he received room and board. This experience fostered his uncompromising work ethic and his love of agriculture and farm life that later shaped his career. He was a proud graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee and it was there that he met the love of his life - Jeanette Spella - to whom he was happily married to for 74 years and together had three children who were with him as he passed peacefully. Eli supported his family through a successful career in the Farm Machinery Industry at Allis Chalmers, Gehl Company and Hawkbilt, initially as a Field Sales & Product Manager and ultimately as a Marketing and Sales executive. He was loved by the Farm Implement dealers he worked with across the United States and carried those relationships with him into a successful post-retirement Independent Rep business well into his 70's. He was known by everyone who met and knew him as a kind, warm and incredibly funny man who could light up a room. Eli's character and diligence was the foundation that made him unique, loved and the wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend he truly was. He was extremely proud of his four years of service in the US Air Force during the Korean War where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and maintained lifelong friendships. Eli is survived by his steadfast and loving bride, Jeanette, who was amazing as his primary caregiver the past five years; his son Greg (Cindy) Heinemann; daughters Rosanne Everson (Ken) & Diane Turner (John). He is further survived by eight grandchildren as well as eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved deeply and was so proud of. A private burial service will be held at Lakewood Cemetery. The family wishes to extend its thanks to the private and hospice nurses and service providers who were so helpful and attentive and allowed Eli & Jeanette to stay in their home, as well as the warmth of their neighbors in Interlachen Park. A long and meaningful life and while you will be greatly missed, you "did good," Eli!
