In Loving Memory of Edmund Louis Olszanowski** February 7, 1948 - June 29, 2026 With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Edmund Louis Olszanowski, who passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, at age 78. A devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, great-grandfather, and loyal friend, Ed lived a life defined by service, hard work, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army, including a tour of duty in Korea. His military service embodied the values that guided him throughout his life-honor, dedication, perseverance, and integrity. After his military service, he built a long and rewarding career as a truck driver, a profession he genuinely loved and took great pride in. His dependability, strong work ethic, and dedication earned the respect of everyone who knew him. Beyond his work, Ed found his greatest joy in the people he loved. He had a warm smile, a generous heart, and a wonderful sense of humor that brought comfort and laughter to family and friends. He appreciated life's simple pleasures-playing cards, enjoying spirited games of Farkle, solving puzzles, and relaxing with a good book. One of Ed's greatest expressions of love was through food. Whether standing at the grill or preparing a favorite family meal in the kitchen, he delighted in bringing everyone together at the table. Those gatherings were filled with laughter, conversation, and treasured memories that will endure for generations. Ed will be remembered not only for what he did but also for who he was-a man of quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and genuine compassion. He taught those around him the value of hard work, the importance of family, and the joy in everyday moments. His kindness, wisdom, and love leave an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him. Ed is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Linda Olszanowski; his children, Kelly (Grant) Knox, Paula (Eric) Asare, Alvin Olszanowski, Terry Wibe Jr., and Cynthia Wibe; his cherished grandchildren, Madison (Riley) Harvego, Jackson Harvego, Mason Asare, Carson Asare, Mackenzie Knox, Nikolai Knox, and Anthony Dowdell; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Olive Harvego and Jasper Harvego. He is also survived by his sisters, MaryAnn (Jim) Asaph, Emily Hughes, Janet Balensiefen, Carolyn (Danny) Ramsey, and Sandra Shank, as well as by many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and love. Ed was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Berniece and Thomas Olszanowski; his cherished daughter, Shawna Olszanowski; his sister, Sharon; and his brothers, Thomas and Jake. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, Ed's spirit lives on in the stories we share, the traditions we carry forward, and the love that binds our family. His memory will forever be a source of comfort, strength, and gratitude.
