Donna Marie Sullivan

Donna Marie (Caye) Sullivan, born October 10th, 1931, in Olivia, MN, passed away in her home in Hopkins MN on April 22nd, 2025, at the age of 93. Donna was preceded in death by her parents Emery and Olga Caye, brother Terry, sisters Correanne and Mary, husband Thomas, and granddaughter Jennifer. Survived by her sister Juna, her children, Mary (John), Tom, Laura, John (Teresa), Margaret (Larry), and Micheal (Natalie), 30 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Donna was first and foremost a committed lifelong follower of Christ. This was reflected in all her relationships as a mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Donna grew up with her four siblings in the beautiful farm country of western Minnesota, learning the values of hard work and dedication. After graduating from St. Mary's Nursing School in Minneapolis, she began a career as an RN. She married Thomas Sullivan, and they raised their six children in Eagan, MN. For the next 30 years Donna happily prioritized her family and friends. Throughout, she was an active church member, avid student of the Bible, and lover of the outdoors. Later in life, she returned to work as a nurse in long-term and home care, making many dear friends along the way. At age 61 she participated in her first medical mission trip as an RN with YWAM. Subsequently she served in medical missions in Okinawa, the Philippines, Uganda, by boat along the Amazon River, and several trips to Kisii, Kenya with her son Tom. Donna also kept current in local and world events, remaining a lifelong learner, and a lively, engaging conversationalist. Donna's final wish of passing away in her own home was graciously granted by God through the loving care of her family. Special thanks to Kady and Karla of Allina Hospice for their guidance and support in Donna's final months. Donna leaves behind a rich legacy of faith, love and service that will continue for generations to come. Her memory will be forever etched in the hearts of her family, friends, and so many others. Donna would say, ''All Glory to Christ''. Her family all says, "Well done, Donna, we are all so proud of you''. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 13th at 11 AM, visitation at 10AM, at The North Church, 5151 Program Ave, Mounds View MN, 55112.
